108 Steps to Be in The Zone Kindle Edition
108 Steps to Be in The Zone describes processes of individuation.
108 Steps to Be in The Zone is a metaphysical exploration of the spiritual symbolism of the number 108. There are 108 self development steps presented, many having to do with systems based on the number 108.
The number 108 is symbolic for a complete process, that when practiced, can lead to self-development. 108 is further symbolic for the connection between the individual and universal. 108 is the most profound number, the simplest meditation instruction and points the way to intuition.

Review
Ethan has a rare ability to 'Universalize' concepts from different traditions such as yoga, tai chi, chi gung, ancient Egypt, Kabbalah and modern science. The 108 Steps is very inspiring and describes the feeling of being in The Zone and how to get there.
~Manoj Chalam, Physicist and Metaphysics Yogi
Ethan's work on meditation achieves a level of rarefied quality so necessary to metaphysical writing and teaching. The 108 Steps is simple and profound, and rich in details and analogies that bring the inner truths of diverse traditions into usefulness in the present time. It is as simple as the profoundness of a child taking its first steps, the mathematical intricacies of numerology, astrology and ancient wisdom in Ethan's writing make entering this world of spiritual development an exciting and safe journey. The 108 Steps lays out a system that can be used beneficially to reveal one's inner nature and the truths we all seek sooner or later.
~Laura Peppard, Founder and Director of the Reno Psychic Institute

About the Author
Ethan proudly dropped out of high school, though he later admittedly graduated. He later dropped out of college and the proverbial rat race, eventually moving to the mountains to pursue snowboarding. Being in the mountains allowed him to pursue tai chi chuan, yoga and meditation. Being a dropout Ethan has been able to honestly observe and present his observations, his many articles appearing on leading news websites with global audiences as well as several magazines of renown.
Ethan wrote The Complete Patriot's Guide to Oligarchical Collectivism. In it he explores history, philosophy and activism through an Orwellian lens.
The Matrix of Four, The Philosophy of the Duality of Polarity, is metaphilosophy on the development of individual consciousness and understanding of collective consciousness. It provides insight on meditation as well as political observation through universal ideas leading to the portrayal of the righteous rebel archetype as well as the philosophical point of nullisis.
The Terraist Letters is Ethan's second piece of fiction, this one set in uptown Manhattan. It is the story of Sean Enstitue. Ethan was inspired to write it after the Fukushima disaster. The story contrasts nukes and nugs, but it is much more than potfiction. It is the story of the archetypal rebel only set in the new world order, where our postmodern hero is a blunt smoking, high school dropout, graffiti artist, physics hobbyist who believes we are under archon and extraterrestrial invasion.

Ethan opens his book with the following – ‘The above image is of an energized person radiating a Merkaba, symbolizing balance and the power of self. The word Merkaba has ancient Egyptian etymological roots combining 3 concepts. Mer means counter rotating fields of light, Ka means spirit and Ba means body. In Hebrew Merkaba has come to mean chariot or vehicle. The counter rotational fields of light of the Merkaba symbolize balancing the physical and spiritual, and the feminine with the masculine, so as to properly energize our personal consciousness vehicles. The 24 sided, 8 pointed Merkaba or stellated octahedron is made up of two tetrahedrons (four sided pyramids) spinning in harmonious opposition. It is mathematically significant as one of the 5 Platonic Solids, geometric designs which hold deep mathematical and metaphysical insights. The Merkaba represents the element fire. The other Platonic Solids represent the other theorized elements of air, water, earth and ethereal.
The Merkaba is biblically related to the vision of Ezekiel in which he sees a divine wheel or chariot, the Merkaba, and sets of four wheels and four heads in relation to it. Ezekiel’s vision is often referred to as an allegory for meditative connection with the elemental energies. Many meditations from diverse practices have ideas within them pertaining to the idea of counter rotational spirit/body energy. Among every tradition I am aware of, the left side of the body is feminine, the right side is masculine, while our feet are grounded to the feminine earth body and the crown of our head is attached to the masculine spirit energy above. Imagining the integrational counter rotational of feminine/masculine and sprit/body energies symbolically depicted in the Merkaba is one of the first important steps in numerous meditations. The synergy of such balance leads to quality energy, enhanced abilities, including increased awareness. Many have sought to experience visionary energy like Ezekiel, while others have tried to suppress interest in meditation and the energy of the Merkaba by maintaining meditative energy is negative in some way or that intangible energy is somehow a crock. The energy in Ezekiel’s vision is likely the same energy described in chi gung, tai chi and yoga. The geometric Merkaba might be similar to, or the source of the amorphous aura. Many of the same attributes of the flowing Yin Yang symbol are also shared by the Merkaba if one simply understands the Yin Yang as a three dimensional form. The main reason for perpetuated stigmatized labels on meditation and meditative lessons to the point of fear and mockery is because some do not want others to access the energy for their individuation. They prefer others do not study meditation and do not enhance themselves with potentially visionary energy. Worldlings, the fools and the fooling, would have you believe there is only the tangible and mechanical, but metaphysical energy and invisible insight are intangible and cannot be held, but real nonetheless. Many people were not allowed to publicly read and were all out prevented from studying the Ezekiel text in the past, likely because of the meditative powers the text hinted at and authorities that wanted to restrict access to understanding it. The biblical text of Ezekiel was variously restricted over time, just like other meditation teachings with various origins were hidden and restricted. Meditation and meditative movements like tai chi, chi gung and yoga all have similarly secretive pasts and aspects…ETC.’
He goes on to share – ‘Being in The Zone includes being energized with prana and breath. It is balanced capability and integration with our surroundings. Increasingly the planet’s ecosystem requires that we all become more balanced, that more of us are more in The Zone, acting in unison with each other and the environment instead of in spite
of it and in spite of ourselves. We have to become more conscious. Ancient meditation lessons have cleared a path through the dense mountainous terrain of consciousness, but we must clear our own way through the new growth of consciousness. Different times and different minds require different paradigms. In the same way the 108 Steps can be of great assistance, but it is up to you to go forward and apply. You have to find your own footholds on your own path and proceed at your own pace to the mountaintop and most importantly you must take the initiative. The 108 Steps offers insight, inspiration, assistance and specific practices, but you have to practice yourself and take your own path to individuation.’
As with all of Ethan’s books, the reader comes away from the experience standing taller, breathing more deeply, and discovering how ready we are to be truly alive. Grady Harp, September 18
