These are great little boxes. Good quality at a great price (I paid $11.53 for the dozen). However, the description is missing the actual dimensions. The outside dimensions are 7-5/8"L x 6-1/2"W x 4-1/2"H. Interior usable space is 6-1/2"L x 5-3/4"W x 3-3/8H, with an additional 1/2" space in the lid so you could store something 3-7/8" tall. Hope that helps!

I love love these bins as much as someone can love plastic bins. They are a good size to fit a lot of my daughter's toys in and they fit perfectly in a 13 x 13 cubby (ikea kallax or nornas).

I was looking for ways to organize my daughter's smaller toys and saw a review by someone here who said 12 of these would fit in a kallax. I have the nornas but the cubby dimensions are the same. I was skeptical at first since the dimensions of these bins say they are 4 and half inches but I bought these and stacked 3 and placed them in the cubby and they fit so well! I added a picture to show how well they fit.

Great for organizing

This is a great product! Since we are required to wear face masks in public, I wanted a way to store them that would be sanitary. These plastic boxes are perfect! I was able to separate the masks between my husband and me, and the boxes stack, so they take up just a little room in my linen closet.

I did need to order a few more than I thought that I needed, but I re-organized my entire linen closet, and now everything is easy to find and store. Okay, so I am a bit of a neat freak, and I used a labelmazer to identify some of the items in the back of the closet.

I bet that if you order these that you will find many uses for them, as well. They would work well in the kitchen, I think, to store envelopes of mixes and gravies, energy bars, or smaller items. Or, they would be good for kids' toys and arts and crafts; for cosmetics, nail polish, and other toiletries. I just love the convenience of the attached lid, the stackability, and the clear plastic. Such a game-changer for keeping things organized and accessible.

Great for organizing art supplies

What don't I use these for. They hold markers, crayons, paintbrushes so well. They also hold a decent amount of art supplies that I had no organizational ideas for. They fit good inside the 3 drawer organizers can fit 5/6 snuggly inside but I prefer less so can see and get them out easier. Have been a great item to help organize in my classroom.

Not Ideal For Office Or Crafting Supplies. Good For Hardware

We purchased several of the Sterilite Flip Top 12 Packs mainly for office products and crafting supplies. The sale price was great and shipping was fast. However, the outside dimensions (7.63 x 6.5 x 4.5) seem to be misleading. The actual capacity inside the flip tops was much smaller measuring approximately 6 5/8 x 5 3/4 x 4. The hinged lid feature is an added plus but at the same time it accounts for the larger outside dimensions. These flip top boxes are actually too big to hold a single item for a normal household, we don't have paper clips or rubber bands in bulk around the size to make these useful. However, if you wanted to store multiple sizes of any office product, then you will find it useful. Pens and markers can be stored in them if laid flat or diagonally which isn't very useful for us.

As for crafting supplies, apparently these flip top boxes are not ideal. They are not high enough to hold ink sprays and refills, etc. Nor wide enough to hold crafting tools like double sided adhesive tape, paper punches etc. You can manage to store embossing folders in these if laid flat inside the flip top but that makes it more difficult to search through them when you need to.

What these flip top boxes are great for is in the garage or for hardware such as nuts/bolts/screws which we always have in bulk around the house. These make more sturdy storage cases than the manufacturer's boxes they come in.

These are also great for storing the kids' toys, small ones of course, and keeping them organized and tidy!

We recommend checking each one to make sure that they snap close tightly even if you won't be using them right away. But bear in mind that these are NOT airtight if you would like to store snacks in them.

Great for my daughter's toy room

I am currently in the process of reorganizing my daughters toy room. She loves tiny toys. The smaller the better for her. While she enjoys them, I am constantly terrified that my 10-month-old is going to get a hold of the tiny pieces and try to eat them. So I'm trying to re-organize them so they each have their own container. Also she's very particular and what she wants and if we can't find it then it's a total meltdown because she is three years old.

I like these because the lid is attached. She can't rip the lid off and then throw it somewhere and I can't find it now we have another container without a lid.

The lid is securely fastened onto the container. I don't have any concern about it tearing off. The container seem to be well-made and should be very durable.

I purchased some name badges off of Amazon. I am going to glue them using hot glue to each box and then put a label inside of the badge. The label will include the name of the toy as well as a picture of the toy. I found that when I tell my daughter to pick up the toys she doesn't really know what to do with them when she picks them up. I am hoping the label helps her to find the correct tote to put the toy in as well as to find the tote that she wants when she is looking for a certain toy.

My husband is going to use them to organize some of his tools and such.

I usually love Sterilite products, but I was very disappointed by these containers. I’m relieved to have bought them when they were majorly discounted. The size and the quality of the plastic is decent. The problem is that the containers don’t close properly. I’ve tried closing different boxes that were empty, lightly filled, and very full. The result is the same; these containers don’t close properly. The latch part is not the problem. The issue is that there’s a gap on the sides, to the point where I can easily fit a nail file or a crochet hook (or maybe even both!). The containers I bought at the dollar store (that are almost identical in size) are much better quality than these and they were only a dollar each! I bought these Sterilite containers hoping they’d be better quality and because I am always losing the lids. I will have to experiment with what I can put in these. I bought them primarily for craft organization and to organize some toiletries, i.e. soap. Would I repurchase? Definitely not, but I think I should be able to use them for some things except for small items. On a positive note, the packaging is excellent and the containers arrived undamaged and quickly.

You need these, even if you don’t know you do.
Crayons, pencil crayons, random art stuff, makeup, bath bombs and tiny lotions you borrowed from that hotel last year, snacks that your kid can get for themselves, aunt-flo supplies, the uses are endless!
If they’re available, just get them. You won’t regret it, even if they sit in the box under your bed for 3 months before you figure out what to put in them (not that I would know anything about that of course)…

Perfect for what we needed it for (craft storage). Good price for the number you get. We also bought another size (bigger), and two of these small ones stack nicely on top of the larger one. They are large enough for markers but not for pencil crayons (unless placed diagonally). These have a little give to them and the lid comes off easily, but it’s not a bad thing. I love that the lid is attached so they don’t end up all over the place during craft time!
