Steve Madden, the company, was founded by Steve Madden, the man, in 1990 in Brooklyn, where he started out making trend-advancing shoes one pair at a time. It was not long after that the Steve Madden focus on "now-ness" earned rave reviews from young female fans mad for the funky, chic, and yet competitively priced footwear it produced. The company popularized the "dressy sneaker," and continues to man the forefront of trends.

This is what to expect after only a few months.
I take really good care of my shoes and I never wear them more than a few times a week becuase I have others.
the paint on the leather is horrible. I really really liked how it starts looking extremely distressed (white and scuffed) because I like them like that but that doesnt mean its fine. I am assuming most people want their shoes to stay a similar color they bought them as. So this is negative points.
After only 6 months the cheap rubber sole heel has shaved down and there are holes in the bottom part. Now its starting to tear at the arch. To make matters worse, the entire sole is separating from the shoes in both of them and you can see there is no stitching, just crappy glue.
I cant even wear these in the rain unless i want soggy wet socks.
This is the problem with these crappy shoes nowadays, better to look for authentic military boots online or to simply go to Kenneth Cole. Im really glad I got these at Madden for 40 bucks on sale, i would be hating life right now if i had paid anything more.
However they weren't very comfortable and after wearing them once the dye on the tip of the boot wore off quite a bit. Amazon having great customer service sent me a new pair that arrived the next day. However on the new pair one of the zippers won't zip to the top no matter how hard I try. Overall I wouldn't recommend these boots whatsoever. They look awesome, but just aren't functional!

Solid comfort and style, lasted about 1 1/2 years (re-soled once) before leather became warped, beyond repair. Wore 3-4 days a week during that time and I walk a lot in Manhattan.Published 9 months ago by Kevin Kino
Compared to Steve Madden boots I bought within an actual store, this boot is made of cheap "letter," and feels like they will fall apart in the next few months. Read morePublished 20 months ago by wjcom
