Steven F. Lott was born in Kentucky in 1956, but lived much of his life in upstate New York. He's now a technomad who lives on a boat and visits the eastern coast of the US.
He started programming in the 70's when computers were large, expensive and rare. As a technology writer, he has two titles on Python published with Packt. These cover introductory and advanced Python programming. A third title is in the works.
His blog, S.Lott-SoftwareArchitect is mostly ranting about the grind of building software.
All of that high-tech is balanced with a dose of fiction, including a stack of screenplays in a variety of genres: science fiction, action, and horror. His wife is the designer and builder of Floating Leaf Tiny Quilts.
