First, this is not a "miracle product". It will not suck lint\hair off your clothes and it does require proper, yet easy, cleaning. Use hot or warm water and rub the lint\hair off.
Second, of course, it gets full. But not any sooner than a standard lint roller will.
We have 3 dogs in the house and an enormous amount of dog hair. We have had the Sticky Buddy for 2 months and I cannot complain. Yeah, you have to clean it a couple of times while rolling the sofa. But (if like my wife) you lint roll the furniture at least 3-4 times a week, standard lint rollers would cost you a small fortune.
I think as long as you are not expecting the "miracle product" and consider the amount of money you save over standard lint rollers, you will be happy.
*USE ON CLOTHES: I can usually get a shirt done with one rinse off and one to two rinses with pants. The thing people forget is that this is to replace a wasteful paper lint roller. I get the same amount of lint removal with a paper roller as I do with this. The only difference is washing the roller instead of peeling a layer off.
*USE ON LARGER OBJECTS: If you're trying to use this on a large item like a sofa, I suggest getting a vacuum with a pet hair removal attachment. I have never heard of anyone using a traditional paper roller to get hair off a sofa, so I don't know why someone would use this to try the same thing. I have a six foot cat tree that my cat practically lives on. I tried using the pet hair attachment brush on my vacuum, but it couldn't really get into the corners of the cat tree. It went a year without me even trying to get any of the hair off. I had to wash the roller a good five or six times, but it looked like a completely different cat tree when I was done. I had a softball sized ball of hair by the time I was done just using the rubber fingers to get the hair out.
*STICKINESS RETENTION: You can't just run water over this thing and expect the lint to run off. It doesn't work like that. I put a squirt of hand soap on my dry hand and rub it on the dirty roller DRY. Rotate the roller so you've touched everything. It doesn't have to be coated. Rub the roller again under running water. Everything falls off.Read more ›
