Being clingy or sticking to a partner can lead to relationship abuse. Sticky Girls is a thoroughly researched book that states that a clingy relationship often turns into an abusive pattern. There are many types of relationship abuse, such as emotional, physical, sexual, financial, threats, isolation and possibly intimidation. Some women make bad choices and allow men to take advantage of them but there are certain men that prey on these types of women.
Sticky Girls is packed to the brim with tools, references, quotes and even a quiz to help women take control of their lives. It encouraged me by suggesting attainable goals to build my own confidence and self-esteem. It is important to find your inner peace and not let yourself become continually stuck in toxic relationships.
Quoting from the author, "Peace is not something someone gives you. Peace is a gift you give yourself." I'd highly recommend finding the "new you" within the pages of this book to take control of yourself and your life.

This book is an amazing tool. It spiraled me back in time and prompted me to reflect on my own past relationships. May breaks it down into parts, explaining where and when these patterns can start, and why. I wish I'd had it when I was twenty, but make no mistake, this is an informative read for anyone.
From the `stickiness' of codependent relationships, addiction and other corruptive behaviors, `Sticky Girls' delivers an awakening punch. Well done Ms. Woodworth!
