Con: I live in a 1000sqft condo, so space is limited, there are some tight squeezes near the couch to get around it, the stickiness of the strips wears off fairly quick if you touch or rub against them. Not to big of a problem as I find the strips to be relatively cheap and are a Prime product so shipping is free.
We then tried them on a counter we want them to stay off of. They didn't like the feel...but they just left little kitty prints in the tape and then everything stuck to the tape so they were dirty and gross. They didn't peel off as easily as I had hoped either.
We found just a regular roll of clear packing tape placed sticky side up and not attached in any way works best on the counter. The tape sticks to them and stays on them when they jump down. It really annoys them! Lol!!
I think this product will work for some. I think it's a great concept. It just didn't work with our cats.
Inside of the cat litter boxes - our cats incessantly scratch and paw at the sides of the litter boxes. This worked to stop them for a while - until there was too much litter residue on them for it to matter. Now the cats are back at it. They are too expensive to keep buying and replacing that often. I would say they only worked (stayed sticky) for a couple of weeks.
On a fluffy chair - I think it worked, though they didn't stick to the chair very well at all. They did deter the cats, until they rubbed fur all over them and were no longer sticky.
On the wooden posts of a kitchen table - again, worked for a short time while they remained sticky and fur-free. I don't believe the cats scratch those anymore at all so perhaps that's all they needed to deter them permanently?
Overall, I may buy them again. Didn't love them because they were on the expensive side and NOT long lasting. But did the trick in some instances.
If looking for a quick and cheap solution then this might work for your, however if you have anything that is a corner or that is not horizontal there might be a better alternative.
