"Dr. Brickman appears to have discovered a very helpful new kind of therapy, a breakthrough process, as the cases he explains suggest. A still soft voice is the key, going within to find that inner voice, a new or the real self. With this inner guidance that the author has discovered after years of study/research/inner work himself, with this inner guidance, the doctor-author proves the success of the patients in reaching their own personal goals.
"This process could be a real boon to his colleagues, other therapists and potential patients alike as talk therapy is often elusive and unsuccessful. The verbatim sessions of patients following the soft voice are easy to read and with the additional commentary, the process gains validity. Seemingly if patients do not go within they go without."
--Writer's Digest Book Awards, 2012
"Truly a breakthrough. Necessary reading for all healthcare providers, therapists and everyone else.
These journeys take us to a hidden, most fascinating universe."
--Dr Lt Col N.R. Meccia
"This new approach penetrates more deeply into the real being, that is, the core."
--R. Leibel Groner
"Intriguing. This will change your perspective on human consciousness."
"An oasis of tranquility, for anyone tired of all the shouting."

Now that you know what the book is about, I'll tell you what the book is not about. It is not about a rodomontade, bumptious mental-health professional waxing upon esoteric theories, nor is it a psychoanalytic treatise that some sycophant designed to please clients. It seems the purpose of Dr. Brickman's book is to describe the unique technique in real-time and how it can lead to positive results via facilitating each patient's journey towards reaching their own inner core. I like it because it is real, it is conversational, and as an author of the book "Laughing Your Way to Passing the Neurology Boards" I appreciate colloquialisms, mnemonics, and outside-the-box thinkers -- especially in the neuroscience fields.
Reaching each patient's inner core and talking directly to that Voice is not enough for Dr. Brickman -- he also guides his patients on how to l-i-s-t-e-n to it, a simple task so easily overlooked by all of us at various stages in our lives. As you read on, and delve into others' lives, you see how they can improve their own status after Dr. Brickman directly chats with their inner core as if it were a long lost friend. Hypnosis has caught on, especially if/when traditional meds and methods fail, and I'm glad I've learned so much about it by reading SSV. I highly recommend this book for anyone interested in psychology, hypnosis therapy, pre-frontal brain cortex thought, non-traditional mental health improvement strategies, or even reaching your own inner core. Enjoy!

The Still, Soft Voice illuminates the multitude of paths one can take in reaching into their own personal experience with a deeper and greater truth. That is why I feel this book is so valuable.
This is why I feel this book is so valuable: when one learns the lessons found in the book they will be able to more quickly call upon their inner voice to guide them. This allows one to get in touch with their inner core in day-to-day situations, when one is confronted with the challenges of everyday life. This results in quicker, more intuitive, and better decision-making consistent with one's own self-truths. That's the way it has worked for me!
as if going to a new place where I've never been, to find a secret
of life to better understand myself. Trusting the positive inner voice,
that you get a sense of, can lead to the better things in life; so far
this book seems to help me find it. As I delved into the life stories
and personal discoveries, and connections, this made it more
believable. It made it possible for me to find that inner voice,
and to know it's for real.
