Still Surviving is book 3 in the Forever Still Series and is the story of Seth Montgomery and Tiffany Webster.
Seth has been groomed to believe that woman only want money and power.
Tiffany has spent the last few years falling in love with Seth.
He's the hot, tattooed guy who can get any woman he wants.
She's the hot, tattooed sass queen who takes no sh*t!
They both have baggage, both damaged and both surrounded by darkness they don't allow many, if any to see.
This story made my heart both break and swell. Seth and Tiff's love... The ups and downs, the drama and above all, the love! I still have no adequate words to describe just how amazing Still Surviving is.
This book is different than Still Life and Still Water, It's a lot darker and raw but still just as beautifully written!!
Amanda is a true wordsmith. This books hooks you from the start and I could not put it down.
I'd give this book 100 stars if I could.
Seth and Tiff are two characters that are not necessarily more broken than the others but are broken in a different way. One is left reeling when the parent abandons the character and the other from the death of a sibling. One character seeks a way to control and the other a way to become invisible. Through a three year friendship, these two finally come together in an epic relationship. They are so open and honest with one another. There is never any pretenses or insecurities between them. Once they go all in, they are all in together.
The conflict of the book leaves me torn. I love that neither one of the characters screws up, but I was able to see the conflict coming. That being said, I didn't expect the ending. The resolution fixed the tiny issue I had with the conflict. These two love unconditionally, and their happily ever after was about them and no one else. It stayed completely true to who they are as characters.
I can't wait to read more from AM Johnson!
Seth's character had me intrigued since we got a little glimpse of him in Still Life. Boy was I off about him. I feel like out of the group of guys Seth has one of the biggest hearts but he just doesn't realize it.
I loved Tiffany's character, she's full of sass but once you get to know her you find out her story and boy is it DEEP. Tiffany showed Seth how to open himself up and that love is a good thing.
When Seth and Tiffany let themselves love each other, I swear it's such a beautiful thing. Of course it had a few bumps in the road but they didn't let that stop them. It just made their love stronger.
This series was just perfect I don't even know how to pick a favorite. I'm so sad it ended but so happy that all of the characters got their happy endings.
Tiff's past was sad and her story played out in graphic detail that made me cry. It was a tough read and you wondered how she survived it all.
Seth's past was not easy but I felt it wasn't enough for him to think he can't have love and a real relationship. His father did a good job at brain washing him because I would have punched him in the face if I was Tiff.
They endure and survive - we get a wonderful HEA.
This is def not a standalone but the other characters stories are shortly recapped but I would advise to read them all, just my opinion.
