The author, Sanjay Nambiar, has written a lovely story about living in the moment. One lovely day two boys were playing outdoors during recess. All if a sudden they gears a scream. A young girl had lost her earring and was very upset. One of the young boys got down on his hands and knees to look for the earring in the dirt. The girl just stood and looked. After a while the boy found the earring and gave it to the girl. She took the earring and walked off. When you read this book you will understand what happens next.
Parents/ teachers will enjoy reading this book to their children. The children will have a good time discussing what happened and how it makes them feel. This will be a goid time for the adults to discuss Zen, what it means and what we can learn from it. The illustrations are bright, vivid and colorful. They depict the adventures of the two boys. This is a wonderful story about learning to live in the present and acceptance. A lesson to learn at an early age.

The message is to do good deeds and not to expect anything in return. Focus on what you can change and let go of things out of your control. I did like the multicultural illustrations, but the style is a bit strange as the illustrator draws heads too large in proportion to the bodies. Nice brief story for preschoolers and primary school children.
Great job Sanjay! By Angela
I know a guy who shrugs off the rudeness and is happy a lot...
I am like the 'fuming' friend who gets mad at rude people, and dwells on their bad manners...
I like reading books like these with my toddler son...
But i also like to learn from these self-help books for little ones...
