Editorial Reviews

This is the follow up to their previously reissued and very popular ""Pound of Flesh"" album from 1975, known for it's pure classic hard rock sounds and controversial cover art. This powerful sophomore outing features frontman Jiggs Lee taking his vocals talents to new heights with the ever present guitar of Lloyd Forsberg remaining as powerful as ever. Plus rare live tracks from the group's heyday!

I lived in Minneapolis in the 70's when Cain was playing the local clubs there. Saw them numerous times and always had a great time. I bought both of their studio albums (vinyl) when they came out. Great to see both "Pound of Flesh" and "Stinger" released on CD!

As much as I love their debut album, A Pound of Flesh, this one comes up decidedly short. Except for a couple of nuggets, Stinger and the odd but enjoyable Thanks A Lot Houston, the material is mediocre at best. It also suffers from a terrible mix that buries Lloyd Forsberg's impressive guitar work in a muddy mess of drums and bass. It's hard to find much love after the take-no-prisoners punch of A Pound of Flesh. If ya gotta have it, ya gotta have it. On a side note, there is a second release of A Pound of Flesh that includes four bonus tracks. Totally worth it if you can track it down.

Must have been ripped from a bad conversion program as no info displays as to artist info or track info. Guess or look at the cover that too is not a good representation of the original product. Looks and smells like Bootleg!!

Cain was the top local Minneapolis rock band in the mid 70's , I attended the state fair concert where they opened for Kansas, two of the State Fair tracks were included on said tract
