"Palm Oil versus Palm Kernel Oil
They both come from palm trees, but there the similarity ends. Palm oil comes from the palm fruit, while palm kernel oil is extracted from the palm seed. And while over 80 percent of the fat in palm kernel oil is saturated, only 50 percent of palm oil is, making it easier on arteries. Palm oil's reddish or golden color is a clue that it also contains a fair amount of heart-healthy carotenoids. Some research even suggests that the fatty acids in palm oil don't raise cholesterol the way saturated fats traditionally do."
Ok so far- taste is ok too, but I still do not like the added cane sugar and salt and will not buy it again. A natural almond butter, containing just... ALMONDS will be my choice.
Almond butter can be delicious and healthier. This lacked almond flavor and really was a waste.
Almond butter is always on hand in my home but not this one.
The almond butter is kept smooth and spreadable by the inclusion of palm oil. I have no problem with this inclusion, but health conscious consumers may want to stir their almond butter and avoid the palm oil. Also, a bit of organic unrefined cane sugar and sea salt are added to the mix, improving the flavor, in my opinion, but I know others will disagree.
Truly no stir and creamy, with a mild roasted almond taste - that's MaraNatha No Stir Almond Butter.
Update 1: I bought the chunky almond butter from MaraNatha for variety. It spreads just as easily as the creamy kind and tastes -- just as good. The chunks of almonds spread through the butter are very small. I would prefer larger pieces of nuts.
Update 2: The almond butter now, one year after the first review, has no oil on the top of the jar. The almond butter looks like a regular jar of Skippy Peanut butter -- perfectly smooth. I have tried many almond butters and what I want to emphasize about the MaraNatha is its mild flavor, which is slightly sweet, and very easy to spread.

Taste is pretty good. Definitely need to stir it.They must know that it separates.Published 13 days ago by Amazon Customer
The taste of the butter itself is great ( I love it on apples!) but the texture is WAY to hard to spoon any of it out of the jar. Having to refrigerate it makes it even worse. Read morePublished 1 month ago by jessica
The second time I've ordered this almond butter. I like it and is easy to spread. However, I don't keep it in the fridge. I use it in about 2 weeks.Published 1 month ago by Senior Citizen
First of all I have to disagree with the "no-stir" on the label. First time opening it yields a big puddle of oil on the top. Read morePublished 3 months ago by D. Jennings
I'm giving this three stars. Even though it tastes great, you still have to stir the almond butter a little bit to spread it. Read morePublished 3 months ago by Potts
packed with protein. Good for you. I use it in protein shakes. Ready to go with it. A bit pricey.Published on June 5, 2014 by Amazon Customer
