COMFORTABLE AND ERGONOMIC

When adjusted correctly, the Tripp Trapp allows for an ideal elbow angle for writing and eating. The curved back rest offers natural spine support, and the foot plate brings the ground to the feet to provide stability.

MEET THE DESIGNER

Peter Opsvik is an icon and true renaissance man who’s been designing since 1959. His Tripp Trapp inspiration came from watching his young son, who had outgrown his traditional high chair, but was still too small for an adult’s chair. This is the beSt high chair I have found. My small daughter (30th percentile) was so low at the table in my other two wooden chairs and also the straps would not work for her on those; this chair is not only super adjustable allowing her to be at the correct height to be able to see her food and feel like she is up with us, but the best thing Is the harness which is 5 points but does not hold the baby back against the chair bc the strap attaches to the chair near their lower back so baby can reach forward and move around while safely secured in the chair. It is seriously phenomenal compared to what I was dealing with. It will also accommodate a much larger baby it seems as the harness straps
Are very adjustable as well. Thank you stokke.

Love this high chair - it is lower than i expected but once you put it at a table you realize its the correct height. If just stand alone it may feel a little shorter, but it is nice if you are sitting and feeding. We purchased when my daughter was 15 months and originally didn't get everything together and quickly realized we did want the baby seat and tray table so would recommend getting all together so you put it together with it and don't need to adjust after. Not a huge deal if you think you can do it without, but for any child under two I would imagine you would want it. We did not get a cover and definitely isn't necessary. I think looks cleaner without. We always get tons of compliments!

And I bought it before reading all those 1-star reviews about the babies not fitting easily. My child is on the larger side 17.5lbs at 5 months and the baby set is perfect! My baby can fit just fine, the harness is adjustable and the baby set fits perfectly with the high chair and cushion. I think the 1-star reviews might be a parent-user issue not baby size issue.

This seat works just fine - ignore the reviews from people who say it is too tight. My daughter is on the chubby side ("Michelin Baby" her pediatrician says) and she fits in and out just fine. The tight fits that other parents talk about are caused by improper assembly of the chair itself - if the wooden platform that the child sits on is installed too far forward in the chair frame, it will definitely make it hard/impossible to fit a child into this seat. But if you follow the instructions and place the seat as per the instructions, the only child that wouldn't fit would be a 40-pound, 6-month-old behemoth. Get this and enjoy!
