We all know that a single, isolated event can change the trajectory of our lives in a split second.
What does a wife do when her husband, her best friend in the world, suffers a traumatic brain injury? He looks the same but doesn't act the same. It seems everything he was before is gone and left in his place is a stranger with a completely different moral code.
Her devout faith provides comfort in her grief and helps keep her hope alive, that someday God will heal her husband and return him to his “old self"". But no matter how hard she tries, he resists her help and begins to exhibit troubling, bizarre behaviors.
When the situation turns dangerous, she’s forced to make tough decisions to protect herself and her children. Although the accident shatters her dreams and leaves her mourning a great loss, it gives her a new life to cherish.

This book draws you and you can't stop reading. The authors story is haunting, yet in the end, you are relieved that she has found Grace in her life in more way than one. I have never had anyone close to me suffer traumatic brain injury, but I'm sure this book would deeply resonate and be soothing to someone who had. A truly. touching true story of the aftermath of traumatic brain injury.

What a tragic real life story. I don't think I could have lived through what Tracy went through to tell her life experience. I know Tracy and you would have never known this to have happened to her in her past. Tracy is a free spirit and she touches people around her in a very special way. It's sad to think that people with faith didn't support her through all that she went through. Very well written Tracy.

Good insight into the changes that can occur from a brain injury. The injured may not look physically damaged, but can exhibit life changing behavioral. The ultimate result can be so sad for an individual and a family. What we learn from stories like this might help others impacted by similar tragedy.

This was a very good read! I noted the author was allowing free downloads for Kindle in exchange for a promised review. I downloaded yesterday and quickly got into the book. The reason I was interested in such a topic is because my brother suffered a traumatic head injury in 2001.....and was never the same.

This book is a fast read. It is a harrowing and, ultimately, uplifting and life-affirming story. Since I had surgery in 2013 for a subdural hematoma (fortunately I didn't have anything like the personality changes described here), I was immediately interested by the subject matter. You can read this book in a couple of hours and it will be time well spent.

Once I started reading Stolen Blood I couldn't stop till I finished. Tracy's story is tragic and heartbreaking but
ultimately it is inspiring and uplifting. That she overcame such traumatic events and managed to create a joyful and successful life for herself and her children is a testament to her strength and resilience and also to the strength of the human spirit and should give hope to anyone going through challenging and painful events themselves.

Wow ... A riveting read ... If you enjoy books that "hold" you from start to finish ... Read "Stolen Blood." Beautifully written to keep you reading, pausing only occasionally to think about your own life, blessings and pain, as you are given a bird's eye view into someone else's. ~ Jesse Andersen

I recently met Tracy Weiss, and as soon as I found out she had written a book, I had to read it. I didn't know what to expect, just that it would be good. It was good, really good. I finished it in one day. It defines how much love someone can have in them. It struck me hard when she asks " How many times can a heart be broken?" You have to read it. It leaves you with a lot to think about and a lot to be grateful for. Thanks Tracy.

Chilling story

Stolen blood is a chilling story about having to cope with an extreme personality change of a beloved husband due to brain injury. I could not put this book down once I started reading it. It brought back many memories about a close friend who was diagnosed with a brain tumour .The way in which Tracey described the ordeal she and her family had to go through as well as her resilience is truly inspiring.
