About the Author

Jaclyn is an Idaho farm girl who grew up loving to read. She developed a love for writing as a senior in high school, when her dad jokingly said she was the next Dr. Seuss (not even close, but very sweet). She met her husband, Steve, at BYU, and they have six happy, crazy children who encourage her to keep writing. After owning a bookstore and running away to have adventures in Australia, they settled back down in their home in Utah. Jaclyn now spends her days herding her kids to various activities and trying to remember what she was supposed to do next. She has published six books in a year, and her mind is still reeling from the awesomeness. Her books include Endless: A Modern Cinderella Tale; The Princess and the Prom Queen; Magicians of the Deep; the Luck series--Stolen Luck, Twist of Luck, Best of Luck, More Than Just Luck, and Just My Luck, a novella.

OMG I loved this book. It's so different from anything I've ever read and it's impossible to stop reading.

What would you do if someone stole all your luck?
Well I hope I don't ever have to deal with this because Megan sure suffered a lot after a Leprechaun stole all her luck because she didn't make a deal with him. Now imagine the most embarrassing things that could happen to someone in public?
Yep, you got it. All the unimaginable things happens to Megan after all her luck is stolen and she can only count with her best friend, and at the moment only friend, since no one wants to be around a walking disaster waiting to happen, and also her crush that despite all the bad things happening to Megan and to some of those close to her, stay by her side.

I loved this book because it's funny, full of unbelievable stuff all happening to the same person in one single days, or over various days. I have been through some of these embarrassing things but all of these in the same day, I would have gone crazy. Megan certainly is strong to deal with all those stuff and still having enough strength to fight back. But I guess she had pretty awesome friends to back her up and I like all these characters and they interaction and support.

I love everything that has mythology but this is new for me so it was interesting just given the whole luck thing being like business and adding all the stuff that happens in this book, I can say there's no boring page at all and I don't think anyone wouldn't like this book. It's made to all ages.

That doesn't mean there's no romance, because there is and I thought maybe it wouldn't given the main plot of this book, but the romance is great because it's not forced or improper to kids.

I enjoyed the audiobook even more than the print version, which I read. The narrator was full of life and energy. We really enjoyed her performance and characterizations! She gave the main character a very unique and youthful voice.

It was a fun, new take on leprechauns and not the boring, stereotypical YA Disney Channel type story we see way too often. It was hard to get my 9 year old daughter to stop listening to this. We didn't listen to it fast enough for her, so she stole it and finished it by herself!

I loved that the content was clean and it was something I could enjoy sharing with my kids.

I didn't want to put it down! Who doesn't think about leprechauns and wonder what they would do? I love how she fights to get her luck back, and the craziness she goes through! A very happy ending to what is going to be a great series!

It's great to find books that have no inappropriate content, especially in YA literature. Stolen Luck is a sweet, easy read that has a little adventure, a little romance, a little fantasy and a whole lot of luck.

Stolen Luck was equal parts entertaining and gripping. Can I start by saying how bad I felt for Megan? Poor, poor Megan. Reading about her awful luck was both hilarious and painful. I really felt for this girl! I loved how despite her crappy luck, she stayed positive and worked to fix her problem instead of playing the damsel in distress card.

I really loved Beth as Megan's trusty sidekick. She was a great best friend--a little quirky, a little blunt, and still understanding. I also really loved Megan's four-year-old twin brother and sister. I could relate to so many of their antics!

Louie was a great villain in this story. I have a feeling we haven't seen the last of him.

This book is fun, and best of all it's clean. I would feel comfortable letting any tween read this book. I really enjoyed following Megan through her journey, and can't wait to read more in book two!

I probably am not the target audience for this book, but tried it out since I am friends with the author. I was pleasantly surprised to the point that I couldn't stop reading, and quickly finished. Having a fantasy creature, a leprechaun, that I haven't seen in other books made the story fresh. I was very curious how the story would be resolved. I would heartily recommend to readers from tween ages and up.

This book was a super fun read! I was worried Megan's bad luck would get old and tiresome, but the author kept her mishaps fresh and new. I will definitely continue reading this series. The ending was intriguing without being a cliffhanger, which I loved! The only reason I didn't give it five stars is because I feel the book needs some tighter edits. The leprechaun's name is spelled three different ways, making it confusing. And several times as I read along, I stumbled and was pulled from the story because of a missing word or words being switched around. However, it wasn't enough to deter me from continuing with the series.

What would you do if your luck was stolen? Would you give up or fight back? It makes you think about the decisions you would have to make. These teens have good morals and are hard workers. Well written story for young teens.
