Sebastian “Baz” Stone, Base Guitarists of the rock band, Sunder, and a man who is troubled from dark demons of his childhood, rebellious teenage years, and years of drugs, alcohol, women, and the fast lane all in the name of Rock N Roll.. Everything has caught up to Baz and now he must face the music; his aggressive behavior has gotten him in some serious trouble of lawsuits and possibly jail time, so he escapes to Savannah, Georgia, where Sebastian “Baz” Stone is unknown, no one knows of his fame or his reputation...
Shea Bentley is a waitress at a bar called Charlie’s in Savannah, Georgia and its there she comes across “Baz from California,” and Baz meets, “Shea from Savannah.” Baz and Shea have instant chemistry, but can a Rock N Roll Guitarist from California and a Waitress of a bar from Savannah, Georgia make it work, and what of Baz’s dark demons and the threat of going to jail?? Read A.L Jackson’s A Stone in the Sea, a Fabulous Read!!!
First i absolutely loved them! I cam to the end of book 1 in the middle of the night, & had to immediately start book 2, because holy cliff hanger! I couldn't go to sleep without knowing what happens next, then stayed up to read about a third of book 2 before finally falling asleep.
So these are the first two books in the Bleeding Stars series, and follows the story between Sebastian, also known as Baz, the lead singer of the band Sunder, and Shea a waitress working in a bar in Savannah Georgia.
When Baz and Shea first meet there is an instant connection, but Shea doesn't have time for distractions, so she rejects Baz every time he asks her out. But Baz is persistent, and neither really understand the connection they have. Fianlly, she decides to give him a chance. Just one night. And they both had a great time. But all it was suppose to be was one night.
We learn why Baz was in Georgia. We learn why Shea cannot have distractions. And we witness the undeniable chemistry they have together.
What happens when Baz finally has to leave GA? Or when Shea utters those three little words? And what happens when their past comes back and haunts them both? And how is their past intwined?
This two books were amazing! And i cannot wait to continue with the Bleeding Stars series. 5⭐out of 5⭐ for both of these novels.
Sebastian Stone is the lead singer of Sunder; a rock band with a following as far as the eye can see. Due to his troubled past and unquestionably reckless behavior, Sebastian (Baz) is making an attempt at laying low in the town of Savannah, Georgia, where he and his band frequent a particular bar to hang out and sometimes play. It is in this very bar where he meets sweet, yet shard, Shea Bentley. Once their gazes lock onto one another, their fates are sealed. Baz and Shea have a connection that could set the world on fire, but, neither one of them is looking for anything serious for the time being. Both have troubled pasts, responsibilities, and secrets; oh the secrets in this novel kept my gut sucked in from holding my breath for so long. I was completely immersed and soaked up every single word that AL wrote.
There was a load of angst in this book that kept my on my toes, so much sensual, sexy goodness that almost lit my kindle on fire (no pun intended) and I swooned so much that I'd thought I'd surely turn into a gooey puddle on the floor. There was a perfect balance of emotion and events within this book. So much gripping material, yet nothing ever seemed forced; not the connection between Baz and Shea, and certainly not the steep obstacles that were continuously in their way. This is the rock star book that beats all others. It's perfect. Utterly perfect.

So - really annoying writing style drags it down from the 4 I wanted to give it. But it's still worth a read, I would definitely say give it a go.
Everything I have read from A.L. Jackson has been fantastic, she never disappoints but what she does do is torture us by ending her stories on a cliff hanger only to be carried on into the next book, she did it with The Regret Series and The Closer To you Series always leaving you wanting more.
Baz and Shea's story is full of intrigue from the get go you are trying to read between the lines, lots of things going around in your head trying to work out what the story is behind both of them they each have secrets but A.L. Jackson' s doing what she does best, dropping little hints and teasing us, we have yet to find out the true story with Austin and how his twin brother Julian died we now know he drowned but how it actually went down we don't know.
All the way through this book we've wondered about the history behind Shea and Kallie but that was put on the back burner because of all the drama that came with Baz but we knew it was only a matter of time before it all came crashing down and it certainly did just that, who'd have thought that is was going to be all down to Martin Jennings, what a nasty piece of work he is.
Kallie was a true sweetie who stole the show and hearts of all the Sunder guys more than once and I have to say the scene where she's taken away is awful.. Heartbreaking.
We know now that Shea and Baz have a lot more in common than they realised but where do they go from here?? I'm about to find out.!
A Stone in the Sea is a brilliant story that is beautifully written and yes very poetic and so much meaning to every sentence but that's only to be expected from this great author.
Thank you for these great stories.!
Unfortunately I found the writing style hard to work through. It was stilted and her repeating the same word three or four times back to back was irritating and off putting. There is a cliffhanger ending, and if it wasn't for the writing style I'd be straight on buying the next book.
I didn't get it and I have no idea what the author was thinking by including it. It was both annoying and distracting. However that aside I did think that there was a half decent story lurking around somewhere inside this book. Then I got to the cliffhanger. Its not so much the fact there is a cliffhanger that has put me off buying the next book, but the series of events leading up to the cliffhanger that I thought were, for want of a better word, rubbish. Completely put me off continuing on with the story.
However I have one criticism I didn't like the way words were repeated 3 times throughout the book like some sort of compulsive disorder
This is the first in a 6 book series and I can't wait to get my hands on the other 6.
This book is amazing, it has everything you could ever need in a book.
Both have their own secrets that threaten to rip them apart.

Once again I am hitting myself for not starting this wonderful heart wrenching, beautiful, mesmerizing, passionate, sexy series earlier. @aljacksonauthor has once again taken me on an emotional roller coaster. Every high and every low in this book I felt deep in my heart, I was completely consumed every chapter and felt majorly connected to both Shea & Sebastian.
I absolutely adored Sebastian he is just one of those guys that you absolutely just fall in love with. He is one of the good guys but is also very broken on the inside and refuses to ever let anyone get to close to him of fear of losing that person. Sebastian is the lead singer of Sunder and after getting out of jail after some unfortunate events his manager has him and his band staying at his beachside place in lovely Savannah, Georgia. One night to get out of the house he goes to a pub called Charlie’s there in the corner of the booth trying to remain undetected is when Shea the beautiful blonde waitress, long legs, and Carmel eyes asks him what he would he like to drink and right then the world has been spun on its axis.
Shea is everything I love in a heroine. Smart, loving, caring, gentle, strong. Shea lives in a beautiful home her grandmother left her with her bestfriend April & her daughter Kallie. It’s always been just the two of them she doesn’t have time for distractions especially the kind that shows up in a tall, dark, tattooed forbidden package with a look in his eyes begging someone to see the real him. But once Shea sets her sights on Sebastian hiding out in the corner of the pub her life will never be the same she feels an undeniable connection to him and needs to know why..
This part 1 of the 2 part duet! 🤍
