Stone Soup for a Sustainable World is exactly what its title suggests. It’s a fantastic melting pot of stories - spanning generations and cultures - all fighting for the same cause of combating climate change. The title itself is derived from an old parable emphasizing the power of collaboration in the face of dire circumstances, and I couldn’t agree more with that approach towards the devastating fight we face presently against climate change. The fight against climate change affects each and every one of us, and will require cooperative efforts across the world in order to reverse its devastating effects.

The stories from this anthology are not only uplifting and inspiring, but they are also more importantly all true! The multicultural and youth-based cast of climate heroes also goes to show that age, ethnicity and socio-economic status need not prevent us from fighting for the health and future of our planet. If you are looking for captivating and motivating stories of human ingenuity in the face of the daunting fight against climate change, then I would look no further than Stone Soup for a Sustainable World.

I love that it is a choice of stories of young or intergenerational, multicultural people from all walk of life and from all over the world, taking a doable step to make a difference at their level, bringing it to the next one and the next....so we can do the same for our planet, our water, our education system, our business models and for the next generations....Very inspiring !

This book is great because it does not focus on one particular issue or person, but displays that work that individuals are doing around the world to solve our climate change issues. It is important to read about intergenerational stories from individuals who have taken on the challenge that others will not. I highly recommend taking the time to read some of the stories from this book!
