Taken for granted, downtrodden, without a voice. This is how stones feel. Maybe there are times you feel that way too.
Join me for a month as each day I reflect on the perspective of stones in the biblical narrative. Be prepared for some surprises along the way. With minimum fuss, stones witness angelic dreams, carry commands, solemnise oaths, mark miracles, define boundaries, and signify integrity for God’s people. In the time of Jesus and his followers, they cry out, they release the dead, they become precious, they condemn mobs, they come alive, and they turn into jewels.
What do stones in the bible have to show us? A good deal, it seems!

Under Chris’ pen, lowly, unadorned rocks are ‘heard,’ in all their warmth and sentience, …Evocative, delightful, and endearing at every turn of page!
- Pastor of Vineyard Church of the Peninsula, Virginia and spiritual director

The question many of us face is how to live out our values in daily life. This book helps to align our actions and values through a deep delve into the heart.
- Karen Blakeley, executive coach and author of ‘Leading with Love’, UK

I found myself lingering long on many of the pages. For me, the ‘icing on the cake’ is the reflection at the end of each chapter.
Revd. Canon Yemi Ladipo, mentor to The Great Commission Movement of Nigeria

Loving this book by Chris Mabey. I will look at stones differently from now on. God’s voice cannot be silenced, it can be heard in all things and all people. Well done Chris.

4.0 out of 5 stars Thought provoking
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on October 24, 2023
I have used this book for both church services and personal devotional time, I have found it both thought provoking in the narrative as well as comforting as I have moved through the chapters. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for either a book to use for personal devotion or as a program for a church.
