Product Description

Size: 5.2 | Color: Leo Bordeaux

Unique, beautiful patterns and colors The company's founder and fabric developer is a textile engineer All cotton used in the Storchenwiege Baby Sling is from controlled biological cotton farms (okeo tex). The weave differs from all other slings in the yarn strength used. In both directions (warp and woof) of the cross weave Storchenwiege uses a double strength, not simple thread. Other wraparound baby slings use the double strength yarn only in one direction. Not only does the strong weave help the durability of the baby sling, it also holds the tied knot better as it doesn't give after the baby is placed in it. This special weave does not influence the elasticity which is necessary to embrace your baby. The fabric is prewashed and preshrunk. This ensures the fabric has a minimal shrinkage of 2.5%. Most fabrics have far more. All slings are washed and dried without tension on the fabric. No chemicals are used in any of the proceedure. Storchenwiege is manufactured in Sachsen, Germany, under strict environmental regulations. Storchenwiege Baby Slings are Oeko Text 100 certified Storchenwiege Baby Slings have a double hemline for durability and the correct embracing of your baby's back All Storchenwiege Baby Slings have tapered ends to ensure easy tying All Storchenwiege Baby Slings come with detailed instructions. The instructions differ from others on the market as they give some extra hints in tying the sling. This is great for beginners as well as "Sling Fanatics." The instructions were developed with the help of a certified teacher of baby wearing from the Dresden, Germany, school of baby wearing instructors.

My daughter (8 weeks old) loves this wrap. We live in the northeastern US and it's very cold in the winter, so I actually carry her in this while she's in her snowsuit. I can tie this on (the position that's in the photo for this wrap) in my car and she is asleep when I step out. No exaggeration. She loves it that much!

I've tried a ring sling and a front buckle soft structured carrier, and she doesn't like either of those. I think the best part about this wrap is that you actually tie the baby onto you. I've had other wraps that I didn't care for, but I didn't know you could actually tie the baby on, which gives you the most comfortable way to carry. This wrap came with an awesome instruction manual with huge color photos of the steps you need for each carry. I have a very bad back, and this wrap is comfortable for 1.5 hours and longer. For me, that's amazing. It does take a little time, for me 3 minutes or so, to make sure I've tied it on well and spread out the fabric across my back as much as possible. There was a bit of a learning curve but now it seems very easy to do. Practice makes perfect!

I have a gauze wrap that I bought on Etsy, which ripped because I think it just couldn't handle my older child's weight. This wrap is very, very sturdy. I would have no problem carrying my 32lb toddler in it on my back and feeling safe. If you have a big baby (both of mine were and are 95th percentile or higher for weight and height), definitely go with a woven wrap. A stretchy wrap like the Moby won't work in the long run. This Storchenwiege wrap is super durable. Love it!

I started baby wrapping with a second hand stretchy wrap just to see if my newborn and I would like it. It worked out wonderfully when she was born that I decided to invest in a nicer WOVEN wrap. The woven wraps are more versatile for instance allowing you to do back holds. I decided on the Stochenwiege because it has a good reputation for quality. The color of this wrap on my computer screen looks gray. It is NOT gray, it's definitely a taupe/khaki color, but still a nice neutral color. The wrap is very good quality, the material is not overly thick but the wrap is somewhat bulky, since it's 100% cotton it is breathable even in the hot sun. Sunlight filters through the material so your baby would require sunscreen if you're spending a lot of time outdoors in it. My baby and I love it. I am 5'6 and ~120 and the 4.1m gives me plenty of length to do any wrap.

I love babywearing. I have owned many different wraps of varying price points and fabric content. If you have done much woven wrap research, you undoubtedly have read great reviews of Leo. This wrap lives up to the hype! For a modest sum (compared to many wovens out there) you get an amazing wrap that will take you from infancy through toddlerhood. I was pleasantly surprised at how thin Leo is--much thinner than my Natibaby 100% cotton--yet it is so very supportive (my wrapee is 24#). Even in multi-layer carries, my little and I remain cool; this will be a great wrap for warmer months. The photo does not do justice to the lovely color of this wrap. It almost shimmers. I could not be happier with my purchase!

This wrap is durable, doesn't stretch with baby or shrink in the wash, and it looks great. If you plan on using a wrap only occasionally and with a newborn, then save your money and get a Moby. But if you want something that will hold up to daily use and can handle larger infants and toddlers, this wrap is great.
I'm 5'5" and 120 pounds, and the 4.1 meter length wrap is just right for kangaroo carry (my preferred newborn hold), with only a short tail of fabric at the end.

I got the 5.1 meter storch in red, and love it, although I think I may have wanted to get a size down instead. However, I love this. It is so nice for babywearing. I have carried my newborn on my front and on my back, and I have carried my 3 year old (about 40 lbs) on my back. Both of them have seemed to like the wrap (the 3 year old gets jealous when I wrap the baby), and fall asleep quickly when I put them up.

My wrap isn't well broken in yet, but that dies t seem to matter to me. It is easy to work with, comfortable and supportive. Now I'm thinking about getting another storch, this time in 3.6 meters, so I can do some shorter carries like hip carries.

Great investment. We use it a lot. At first my baby didn't like it... But after couple of uses we felt in love with it. Easy to use, I prefer spend a few minutes and put him in my wrap than getting car seat or stroller out of the car... At some clinics they ask you not to bring the stroller in - so, I'm glad I have this wrap. I have 4.1, and I'm 5.1" 135lbs, the ends a bit short when I'm carrying him in "wrap cross carry" just enough of length, but couple more inches wouldn't hurt... I even can do some chores around the house holding him. That also helps if baby got flat head, as it keeps them away from laying on the head all the time. I haven't used it in the summer time yet... So, can't say nothing if it's gonna be hot for both of us or not (as I read reviews about some other wraps where consumers had to return them or couldn't use in a hot summer weather).
