What a delightful book, it has four stories for your little one to learn from. Each story can be used in a preschool classroom. As an educator and a preschool teacher, I would definitely recommend this book for toddlers and three year olds. This can be used to teach about the color blue, to give them the confidence to write and learning what different objects are and much more. I love the “Ta, Ta House.” In this story children can learn how to become independent by brushing their teeth and learning to get dressed. This book keeps it simple and this is the way children learn at this early stage. What we think is easy, is a big step or milestone in their world. Parents, this book can also help you at home. It will give you an opportunity to bond with your child and teach them at home. You can do activities with this book. For example, at home and in the classroom, you can use blue food coloring and add it to the water; then ask the child/children what color is the water? They can help make the water blue by pouring the food coloring into the water and stirring. Another activity that you can do is, hide blue objects around the classroom or your living room and ask your child or students to find things that are the color blue. Children will have fun doing this activity, all the while not understanding that they are learning. Children learn through play, that is why this book works well at home and in the classroom. See how this book can be used to teach while they learn? I recommend this book for both parents and teachers.
As a retired teacher, I have strived to instill a love of reading in my children and now grandchildren. Finding a book like this one made my day.
All five stories are great as read-alongs for naps or bedtimes, or as a first readers for the little ones!
A 10* read for the youngest children! I will be keeping these on my Kindle for the grandchildren!
Each day, I let my son who is 4 years old pick out the book we will read. Over and over he picks this book. Which is one of his favorites. He likes it because it is fun and I like it because it is educational.
