"Rabbi Morrison has performed a great service in collecting and retelling these inspiring stories of Rav Abraham Isaac Kook, the first Chief Rabbi of pre-state Israel, and his son Rav Tzvi Yehudah Kook, who carried on his father's spiritual legacy during the tumultuous years during which Israel achieved statehood and thereafter."
Rabbi Dovid Sears, noted author and director of the New York Breslov Center

As beautifully and masterfully written as his other books, these short stories are a pleasure to read. Highly recommended!!!!
Rabbi Tzvi Yehuda Kook is the true and faithful successor to his father's vision. Rabbi Morrison provides a tremendous service to readers by sharing stories of the two sages in one book. . This book is an answer to the politically motivated academics who falsely attempt to drive a post facto wedge between the vision of Rav Kook and his son.

Rabbi Chanan Morrison is a devoted student of the writings of Rav Kook, and has produced several outstanding volumes of Rav Kook’s writings on Parashat HaShavua. Now he brings a new book of inspiring stories about Rav Kook and his son, Rabbi Tzvi Yehuda Kook. Rav Kook, the first Chief Rabbi of Eretz Yisrael (1865-1935), was a masterful scholar, mystic, poet, and spiritual leader. The stories inspire, enlighten and bring new light on this giant of modern Judaism.
The stories are set against the of the historic upheavals and triumphs of the Jewish people over the past century, as they returned to and settled the Land of Israel, established an independent state, and defended it against warring neighbors.
This book opens a window into their inspiring qualities of spirit, their overflowing love for the land and people of Israel, and their rare ability to bridge the religious-secular divide.
Here are some laudatory comments by noted scholars who have read the book:
"I loved it! I couldn't stop reading..." -- Rabbi Shmuel Jablon
"These tales about Rav Kook inspire us to live with purpose, to serve from the heart, and to lead from the soul....The more we can learn stories about his life, the closer we can come to understanding the intertwined nature of Torah, Eretz Yisrael, Clal Yisrael, and the human condition. This book offers another inspiring window into the great soul of Rav Kook." Rabbi Shmuly Yanklowitz
Yishar Koah to Rabbi Morrison on another gem from the huge collection of writings and stories of Rav Kook and his son.
