This book disappointed me with its level of obsessive/possessive behavior. Gabriel Storm is possessive to the point of nearly being abusive. A little bit of spoiler alert so that I might make my point.

In one scene in the book he finds the heroine, Elizabeth, holding hands with another man and goes absolutely ballistic. Shoving her up against walls and such. The author at first tried to paint the heroine as a strong, female character with her own mind, but in almost every altercation with Gabriel, her desire overrides her common sense. In one scene, Gabriel actually demands that she service him in order to prove that she wasn't lying when she told him that she hadn't slept with the other man. The way her mind is constantly being overridden by her body grated after a while. She can't keep her hands off Gabriel, so she "forgives" his overbearing attitude when she should--in my humble opinion--be walking out the door.

That opinion was further solidified when, at one point, Elizabeth wears a dress with a low neckline to a fancy dinner. A man sitting next to her blatantly admires her cleavage. After the dinner, Gabriel demands to see her in her room. They get in there and immediately he begins his rant: he owns her, that man was drooling over her, she flashed her breasts at him, she was never to wear that dress again. Elizabeth attempts to get him to leave by telling him that he doesn't, in fact, own her, to which he responds by literally ripping the dress from her body. When she tells him the dress was expensive, he proposes writing a check, saying nothing about his beastly behavior.

Very disappointed. The book ends with a cliff hanger, so you have to buy & read the sequel to know what happens. If I had known this before hand, I would not have bothered reading! I will NOT be reading any other books by this author. May be a good marketing ploy to sell books, but it makes me angry!

I was disappointed that this is only part of a novel. The description indicates that this is a full length novel. However, this story is not complete and ends in a cliffhanger. There is no happily ever after ending here. The author even indicated that she looks forward to seeing reviews before the next part is released. Therefore, I'm letting her know that it is very frustrating, annoying and rather rude of her to sell an incomplete novel as a "full length novel". If she wanted to make this a book part of series she could have completed Gabriel and Elizabeth's story in this novel and written a second book in the series about Brianna and Jake.

I would not have gotten this book if I had realized there was a cliff hanger. I wasn't that in to the story, and almost quit reading half way through. I didn't care for Gabriel, he was an arrogant ass most of the time. The cliff hanger ending made me like the book even less.

The story was great, but the book ends right in the middle of the story. If you want to find out what happens you need to by the next book. Its not like a movie that ends, but leaves way for a sequel. Not at all. Things are happening and the momentum is building and bam, the book ends. I feel like this is a cheap trick to force you to buy another book. I refuse to buy into that. Had the author not pulled such a dirty trick I would have happily bought more books by her. The storyline was great and her writing was pretty good.

Clearly this author had friends and people she gave free books review. I should have paid more attention that most were not verified purchases. While good story, ends abruptly so forced to buy second book if you want to know what happened. This is a cheap trick by authors and I have no tolerance for it.

I made it about four chapters. This book is like a quilt made from bits and pieces of Bared to You and 50 Shades of Gray. Now, I loved both of those books, but this one.......no. I felt like I was reading stolen goods. Oh, and then I skipped to the end to see this big, dreaded cliffhanger. Evidently the author borrowed from a popular soap opera plot-line too.

Wow!! This book was great. I read it in one sitting. Absolutely could not put it down. I wish I was warned that it had a cliffhanger ending. Had to resist the urge to toss my Ipad out the window when it was over. Love, romance, hot love scenes, betrayal, angst, this book had it all. Cannot wait to read the next one.
