First off, it's just really comfortable. My last Gi had the unfortunate properties of being both flimsy and bulky in the wrong spots. I just learned to live with it, since I figured I wasn't wearing it for comfort anyways. Well this Storm brand Gi basically alleviates all of the complaints I had wearing that one comfort wise.
Most important from everything, it offers a full range of movement. Nothing catches or pulls when I've moved around or grappled in it. Although I do most of my rolling without a Gi, I didn't feel hindered at all by this one.
It fits a bit loose, which is preferable. It also breathes quite well. I was still getting some decent air flow even during grappling. And even though I'm on the short side, and thus picked up an A1, nothing drags on the mats. And the arm sleeves fit my arms absolutely fine.
And just feeling the material, it does feel like a very quality Gi. Everything is tough, and the clear especially feels nearly indestructible. Maybe the patches might wear off over time, but the Gi itself seems like it'd last year's.
There are a ton of patches on this. Mostly either branding or flaunting the features. Wearing this might make you feel a bit like a NASCAR racer right out of the box. It does give the Gi some added texture and color, so I don't mind them at all. At least I'll always know which one us mine.
Perhaps the only downside us the price. But when I compare it to my similar but not as good Gi that I bought a few years ago for a little over $100, it blows it away. I don't feel like I want to take this one off immediately after sparring in it. And that's where the real value of this Gi comes from, at least for me.
So anyone really serious about Gi grappling, I'd have to recommend this one. While it's the most expensive Gi I've used, it's by far the best. I've been very happy with it
I did receive this Gi as a free promotional review sample from the seller.
Fit: This fits VERY well. The pants are nice and loose and tie very well, and the jacket fits just right in all the right areas.
Feel: It’s nice and thick in the right places. I think the cheaper knockoffs will have the materials disproportionate, and gripping will just get really difficult and movement is just a pain.
Quality: I have a high regard for these Storm Gi’s. The look and feel of their Gi is top notch, and I have been loving this Gi. I actually like the patches that it has on it. This reminds me of the competition Gi’s in Metamoris, Worlds, and Pan-Ams.
Thoughts: This is well worth the money. The reason I had been Gi-less is because they are so expensive. This one is up there as well, but the quality is definitely there, and the practicality of use is also there; probably the most important part, duh. Great gi!

5’2”- 5’7” 110-140 A-1
5’5”- 5’10” 140-165 A-2
5’10”- 6’1” 165-200 A-3
6’0”- 6’4” 200-250 A-4
I'm 5'10 and weigh 180lbs. With this body size I'm always right in between an A2 and A3. In some brands, an A2 works perfectly. For this Storm Kimono, the A3 was the right fit for me. A little long at the sleeves and legs, but nothing that I would considered overly large in any shape or form. The jacket is very roomy and fits well over the shoulders. It's not tight in the armpits which is key for good range of movement in the arms.
Once you start rolling you forget that you're wearing the Gi, and have full mobility and range of motion.
Overall fantastic product with extremely high end quality material.
