My son and I read this book this summer for his summer reading program. Not only did my son, who was 7, enjoy the book but I couldn't wait to learn more from our readings. We read the book in two days. I am suggesting this book to his 2nd Grade teacher this year. This is a must to read book!!!

I liked this book a great deal because it gave you alot of information such as George invented peanut recipes. The author made you feel like you were actually in the book.It made me feel like I wasn't even reading the book.I think that this book is a great choice to read.

After having my son read this book he became very excited about growing peanuts and told me everything he learned about sweet potatoes. This is a very good book about George Washington Carver. He was truly an amazing human being.

I'm sure this book is great, and I just ordered it. But am I the only person who is baffled, disgusted and outraged that there apparently are NO adult biographies available on this great man? I did a search on biographies on Thomas Edison, one of Carver's compatriots, and the list of those stretches from here to Menlo Park. The fact that I could find more biographies on Joey Buttafuoco than on George Washington Carver says it all about the United States of America. I am acrimonious.

My 7 yr old loves this book. I even forgot she has it, till she pops up with interesting facts about the book as quizzes for me. Guess I'll have to read it so I can respond to her. Great learning book for the both of us.

George Washington Carver is one of my favorite people. His life is such an example of perseverance. He took advantage of every opportunity to learn-- under impossible circumstances. It’s a great book to read to 6-8 year olds and then a book for children to read themselves.

This was a very good book, God worked wonders threw this guy. The book reminded me of how much we need to ask God for everything and ask Him to guide me even in the small things.
