A must watch.....After the first episode I ended up ordering the entire season. I absolutely love ANYTHING with Morgan Freeman..you can see how he's so moved by some of the people he interviews! You just cannot be disappointed with this series. I don't want it to end! Thank you National Geographic for this.
There were great questions and answers in a good series, but a bit too much time spent in each episodes introductions. Every episode starting with a see-through statement of " I am traveling to (wherever) to find out what people think about (whatever). Obviously there only needed to be one trip to each place where they looked into the content for 3 or four episodes questions and answers, so I am really doubting they jumped on the jet and went again for each one. So, a bit of time killing fluff, but I believe it was well done and more stories like these need to be done, to help mankind see that life would be far better, not if we all believed the same things, but if we could enjoy each other and be friends even when we don't. We are all on the same boat which looks like it is about to sink because we can't all pick up an oar and row while busily needing to be right about what we believe.
I absolutely love this show and I'm only three episodes in. I am fascinated by religion and love learning about different faiths around the world. Morgan Freeman is a wonderful host and asks meaningful questions to the many believers he speaks to. If you want to learn more about the world of religion then this is a must-see!
This is a tough subject. It is hard for any series to address strong viewpoints of multiple religions, atheists and agnostics. While not deep, the series does a great job of being balanced and thought-provoking. Each person can take something different that's consistent with their belief system, but at the same time advances their thinking and makes them more knowledgeable & tolerant of others. We definitely need more tolerance in an age of increasing, visible extremism.
I found this series fascinating. I enjoyed the presentations, learned a lot, enjoyed seeing the locales through Morgan Freeman's eyes. I particularly enjoyed listening to what conclusions Mr. Freeman has been reaching as a result of his investigations. I bought the series here because for some reason my cable provider + DVR cut off the last five minutes of every episode and not hearing the ending, the conclusion, was frustrating.

Very interesting and very well presented. Facts are presented as factual, speculation, myth, and conjecture are presented in very thoughtful ways but are identified as such. Gets you to think and examine without trying to convert you to any particular view. Morgan Freeman is an excellent presenter, and adds a very human element to the discussion and exploration.
I love this series! It is so nice to have it so I can watch it whenever and wherever I can squeeze it in. I really appreciate Morgan Freeman's approach in this series as he gives an inclusive feel to all of his interviews.
