About the Author
In 2014, she founded Janel Dyan, Inc., (known to most as simply JD), which provides transformative brand and style consultation to high-visibility clients across industry, politics, and social causes. JD was built upon the belief that the most important aspect of a woman's brand does not emanate from her position, the product or the services she is creating: it's about her, her story and her vision of success. Janel is determined to disrupt the mindset of corporate America, proving that what a woman wears is an essential part of building her professional brand. This book isn't just for female executives or those in the corporate setting. Women in various stages of their life can appreciate Janel's rich story and experience. I especially connected with the narrative around her mother, as her mother gave her the most meaningful lessons early on, something all mothers long to do. This is not a typical rags-to-riches story, but one filled with ton of heart and empathy for the women she has styled and will work with in the future, because Janel knows what really matters. It is the heart within each one of us that ultimately defines our brand.
