This book is an absolute must read for anyone interested in the story of Superstition Mountain or even the history of Arizona. This is a true story of murder, mystery, greed, romance, hardships...........the list goes on and on. If I can find a hard back large version I will buy it because I already want to read it again.

I have several stories on the drawing board, and although I have been to the area several times, this book and others about similar material help me double check details. Also I enjoy treasure tales even if I already know the story.

Real history about real people. This mountain is imposing just to look at it. People still have to be rescued while "hiking" on it.

A good read but based somewhat on myths that circulate, not necessarily on facts. A good addition to any library on the Lost Dutchman for sure, but as with anything related to the Lost Dutchman - proceed with the proverbial grain of salt.

A bit of sensationalism, but with enough fact mixed with fiction to make it interesting. As someone from the area, I have heard at least 40 different versions of the Lost Dutchman's Mine and the legends of the Superstitions. They can't all be true; in fact, perhaps none is. Still, it's fun to read about any sort of "lost treasure," true or not.

It is the same book I read years ago only without the wear. All of the guests who visit us will probably pick it up and read it.
Thank you very much.

This is, hands down, the best book on the West and the American Indians, I have ever read. It is definitely not just about the Lost Dutchman Gold Mine.
