I got this about a month ago and worked through it in the following two weeks. I'm in my early sixties and have the majority of my physical and earthly spiritual life behind me. Still, I found the workbook helpful. It has not been a "reset" for me but going through the exercises definitely helps me focus on applying the years ahead to follow and collaborate with God to "save many lives."
The book helps the readers see our earthly lives as subplots in God's eternal storyline. God's purpose is to "save many lives"; ours should be the same.
Miller skillfully leads the reader through a series of exercises to review his or her life to-date, and note the ups and downs. The reader is to describe a "theme" for his/her life. Then, reviewing the "downs", Miller helps the reader discover the redemptive perspectives, i.e. how God uses the major negative events for redemptive purposes.
Then it's a big step forward to note our roles. A role may be a parent, husband, worker, employer, or whatever role we see ourselves playing in God's storyline and in our subplots among our spheres of influence. We are then asked to list our ambitions or goals, followed by a number of exercises, all done prayerfully before God, to result in the visualization of the achievement of the goals (celebrations) and an action plan (inciting incidents) to take us there.
The "methodology" is not earth-shatteringly new but its spiritual context is what makes it really useful for those who seriously pursue deeper meanings and more worthwhile purposes in life than just living out a life driven by self-centered and temporal desires. Miller consistently urges his readers to pursue the steps in his workbook prayerfully before God, so as to establish ambitions that are in line with God's purpose to save many lives. Through this focus, the readers learn to apply themselves to things that are more gratifying not only for the readers but also for those in their spheres of influence in the long term.
Last but not the least is the online tool that Miller provides for each reader to record our roles, ambitions (goals), inciting incidents (action plans), and our celebrations when we achieve our ambitions. Each role will include one or more ambitions, and each ambition will have its own "story" comprising the above components. When an ambition is celebrated, the story can be archived. The reader can create many roles and stories, although Miller cautions against creating more than five roles at any one time. Using this tool, the reader can work out their lives' storylines forever and ever, or as long as Miller maintains the website. Each role and story, by the way, can be marked private or public, depending on whether one wants to share with the Storyline 2.0 community.
I recommend this workbook for those who would like to pursue a life in collaboration with God's purposes for humankind. It will help us focus on what really matters, assess our ups and downs of life in the context of a loving and purposeful God, identify through what roles we can contribute to God's purpose and find meaning for our own lives, establish worthwhile goals, and develop a plan to get there.
I like this so much that I have convinced my weekly small group to go through it with me.

Working with a life coach to create your life plan can cost hundreds of dollars. But we’ve made life planning efficient and affordable. Storyline 2.0, the book, is the key to the entire process.
When you complete the Storyline process, you'll have a life plan that will give you clarity and direction for living a great story.
To accomplish this, we've blended the discipline of storytelling with the therapeutic philosophy of acclaimed psychologist Viktor Frankl. Over the last several years, we've distilled this process into eight modules that will help you:
*Understand where you fit within God's story.
*Interact with God in a functional rather than dysfunctional way.
*Understand you share agency with God to make an impact.
*Clarify your ambitions.
*Get off the couch and get started.
*Embrace rather than avoid conflict.
*Envision climactic scenes that will prove more motivating than setting goals.
*Filter your decisions through a life theme.
*Inspire others by living a great story.

Ok - so I haven't gone through the whole process myself quite yet so perhaps you'll have to take this review with a grain of salt.
However, I've purchased more than a few copies of this book as gifts for my collegiate staff to work through themselves and apply to their own lives and I hear back positive feedback. Furthermore, I have some dear friends who have worked through Miller's storyline conference as well with rave reviews. All in all, I'm a Don Miller fan and I think this kind of personal work is really really good for older adolescents (and all of us really).
The book itself is large format, well designed, and clearly well thought out. High quality product.

I purchased this boook for a workshop I was attending. it is a type of workbook that lets you look at your life as a screen play. It leads you through a series of exercises that help you to see how God has been there in your past even if at the time you felt alone. It is one of those books that can continue for the rest of your life. Being a person who has as long as I can remember kept a journal this book inabled me to put things together in a organized way, it gave the tool to see the big picture of my life. Each one of us has a unique story, we sometimes become so involved with daily life that we forget the big picture. While the cost seems high it is worth it,

This workbook is full of little wonders. I would recommend reading Viktor Frankl's Man's Search for Meaning first, before embarking on Storyline, it gives the methodology a meaningful context and due gravitas. Donald Miller is a really interesting author, his honesty, humor and succinct language can be appealing to believers and non-believers alike.
I think it was perfect for the stage where I am in my life, and people interested in finding clarity in their story, in understanding themselves better, and living a better life, will find this extremely useful.
I do think that there could be a little bit more information regarding the preparation for "conflict" as they describe what people will experience when they embark on a real implementation of Storyline. I'd instinctively lived my life like a story before and once you actually do that, it is an extremely drastic change. It is not just a choice for one aspect of your life, you begin to relive your life with totally different motives and passions. It is a beautiful way to live, but sometimes you find that the people that 'love' you are suddenly on the other side of the fence, opposing your G-d driven motives.
Overall this is a really positive workbook, and they've got some good media mixed in with it: the website, the dashboard, and the audiobook namely.
If you're weary, check out doing this in a group. I have recommended it to many of my friends graduating from college.
