Cheap piece of crap. Mad at myself for being fooled by fools who probably think Louis Vuitton is high grade also. Like another reviewer I really wanted to like this razor so much I bought a second after my first one failed me after return eligibility. This one is again cheaply put together with all parts very loose. Very dangerous having a razor swing around your face specially after chopping into Mahogany cause this can’t even close straight. This razor does have a feel of rookie sweatshop craftsmanship. I can’t find a manufacturer number or website to straighten this out. Looking at both you can tell there is no uniformity or standard to which they manufacture razors. They must just get raw materials and kids to put this together and hope for the best. The latter doesn’t even fit on my razor stand because the sanding is incomplete. Incompetent fools fooled me. With that $150 I should have bought the DOVO blade with Ram horn handle. I’m not Vegan. Something I can give my grandson when he learns to shave, like when my grandfather showed me how to shave. We were really poor and he used a fuxing box cutter to shave. As for the strop, use a belt or the back of your briefcase or the bottom of your JR soles as this is leather nicks easy. Maybe cause the blade bends after smacking mahogany scales. Bottom line, this is a Chinese Gold Dollar razor.

Cheaply made, save your money.

I got this razor about two weeks ago. I did like anyone suggests and honed the blade, pasted the strop and went to town. I got it "hanging hair popping" sharp but never got an exceptional shave.it was always just ok. I liked the 7/8 width and the way it looked. After having this razor a few weeks the blade loosened up and I found myself knicing my face and head because it would slip and not stay sharp. I really wanted to like this razor so i started to hand rub the wood scales with the strop paste to smooth them down. After a few hours of hand rubbing, i got it feeling smooth rather than like a fine sandpaper. I couldnt stand the looseness and the width anymore and I got sick of the razor hitting the scale when i was closing it,so I decided to take it apart and fix the abnoxiously wide grip. After getting it apart, I saw why they had 3 washers per side... the sanding was not square. And the center was about 15-20% thicker than where it was pinned. I inspected the blade and noticed it was torqued but decided to try and fix it. After about an hour and a half on the stone hand stoning it, the blade slipped off the stone. Figured out why it looked like it was tourqed, cracked all the way down the blade, but the edge went back to straight. Must not have norealized it during the manufacturing process. I touced the blade and I know why they called it "saw tooth". I also have a dovo and the difference is that of a high schooler making his first knife and a professional. Like I said, I wanted to love this razor, just wasn't ment to be. The strop I rate about a 6/10. It is about 2- 3/8 thick and works well, has pretty good 6-7 oz leather and blur jeans materal for the canvas. The strop paste I would rate a 8/10. That is good stuff. The razor I would say is a 3.5/10. Would not recommend this razor. It dulls quickly and is cheaply made.
