This is a fantastic release from Helloween. i enjoyed this right from the very first listen and i was instantly hooked. i enjoyed this one even more than the previous 7 Sinners album, Mainly because this one has more melody to it harkening back to albums such as Master of the Rings, And Time of the Oath. Where as 7 Sinners was a full on metal assault record. This album is very consistant and the flow of this album is superb. There is enough charm and shivalry to this recording to satisfy not just power metal fans, But fans of any genre of music. Great riffs, Great melodies, Catchy choruses, And great hooks. This album has it all, And it's one of the best records the band has ever done. i strongly reccomend you going out and buying this release. i guarentee you will love it.

Yep! They've done it again with their class. However, I'll try to not compare it to their previous material.

To my ears, this album is a perfect example of utilizing every instrument without sounding tiresome, complacent, or self-indulgent. Just exactly perfect.

Those riffs and powerful rhythms.....The drums - man, Dani Loeble is one hell of a machine! Andi Deris has the right combination of power, menace, and emotion that makes each track all the more convincing. The genius of Michael Weikath's song-structuring skills is outstanding. Sascha Gertsner & Marcus Grosskopf round out what is an awesome band.

Whoever was in charge of selecting the track order has got it right with the flow of the album. Starting the album with Nabataea is a stroke of genius as it contains Deris at his best delivering a very memorable chorus to set off an album you could say is a `chorus-fest' which never gets boring. I too have also taken advantage of downloading the Japanese-only bonus track `No Eternity' - a worthy addition that should have been on the album anyway.

I find it too hard to pick highlights from a consistently strong collection. It's one of those special albums that are excellent to sing along with whilst driving. My car audio system is going to take a pounding in the years to come.

I luv it!

Give it an open-minded go and make up your own mind.

Enjoy.

Ive been a Helloween fan since1988 when I first heard them. No, im not a fanboy and love everything they've ever done. I believe they've had some rough spots in their career. But, Helloween is a band that after 20 some odd years and numerous line-up changes can still put out great records. I got this because it intrigued me. Could they still rock? The answer came in a resounding YES.This album is one of my newer favs. Going thru some of the rough spots ive gone thru in my life "straight out of hell" has always helped me through. I don't believe theres a bad song on it or a weak one for that matter. It goes right up there with the Keepers 1 and 2, Time of the oath and better than raw.Would highly recommend this disc to any fan of heavier music.

This is one of the best Helloween albums! Every song is a great track, no filler tracks. I have listened to these guys since 1986 and they have only gotten better with time. There are not many bands you can say that about. Do yourself a favor and listen!

Helloween has always impressed me since the arrival of Deris into the band. He has added another level to this band during each and every new album that they put together since his arrival. His voice is amazing, guitar riffs and drum smashing are awesome. If you are an Helloween fan, this album is a must to your collection!!!

So I ordered and received Straight out of Hell. Much to my surprise Helloween sound fresh still and although the songs were not as catchy as let's say Keeper of the 7 Keys 1 & 2, they are musically arranged phenomenally well. The vocals are ever present and fierce and the guitar work is classic Helloween with minor 2013 evolutionary and technological changes, along with thundering drums and growling Bass lines driving the bottom end! The Keyboard is defined and not overpowered by the guitars, bass or drums, which makes for a well blended and rounded sound throughout the album. I'm glad to see Helloween continue the Power Metal legacy they began in 1984, even with the line-up changes! The current incarnation of Helloween is still doing justice to the songs that built their legacy, even with only 2 of the original members being Michael Weikath & Markus Grosskopf!

You know, there are some bands who have been doing the same thing for approximately the same amount of time as Helloween. Manowar is a great example. Manowar has a tried-and-true formula which has served them well for decades--but when the experiment even a little, they screw up. And even their special formula gets a bit tired after a while.

But with Helloween? It stays fresh. When they experiment, they come up with a masterpiece. When they do what they do best, they continue to improve. Straight Out of Hell = case in point.

Straight Out of Hell is a wonderful display of all the best things about Helloween. You can clearly tell that they are all master performers. Great guitarists, superb singer and deft drummer. They're usually not show-offs. That is to say, they do things which are technically difficult, but the average listener who has no experience playing an instrument would never be able to guess just how hard it really is. They want to create a good sound, first and foremost, not wow you with their prowess. And they do! Their songs are contain a pop appeal, in which they nail catchy choruses and melodies that are easy to follow, but at the same time, they retain an underlying complexity for those of us who need something more. It's all there, and this album in particular delivers in spades.

I've always been a Helloween fan. I picked up their first album in 1999, about 14 years after it originally came out, and since then, I've been hooked. Some of their albums didn't entirely catch on with me immediately except for a few songs, but this one? I sat and listened to it all the way through as soon as it came in the mail. It took a few listens to fully digest. It was...wow.

Get this. Get it now.
