2.0 out of 5 stars This thing is and absolute pain
Reviewed in the United States on December 6, 2021
The boxes (3 in total was damaged apon getting here. And some damage was done to the table of the machine. It's workable for what I do. But I'll need to remove the damaged section and fill it back in. As well as some blue marks I can't get off. Fortunately those are on the belt side of the machine table and don't do anything but look ugly. But the hole thing was a pain to put together. Most of the bags of hardware looked to have been opened then taped back closed. The oil bottle had leaked its contents all over everything in one of the bags. The assembly manual and if there ever way a quick setup guide they were missing. The light it a cheap 5W LED. Though it is a good color of light. Not blue or yellowish. Makes seeing the true colors of fabric and thread nice. But after probably 5hrs of working on it I was able to het everything assembled and timed in. Only broke one $8 needle to do it. Though most of the guards I've left off because there's no predrilled holes to put them on with. The servo is good enough. Most sewing machines seem to come with it. But I'm thinking about upgrading to a unit the has a separate controller to make it easier to change speeds. Finally the knee controls don't work. The zigzag only works off of the hand controls. This again is fine for now for me as I don't need to make changes to the zigzag on the fly. Also the foot lift knee control is really heavy. It works though the actual knee rest isn't in place again there's no predrilled holes for mounting anything but the motor and the thread holder. There's not even spotted holes to mount the draw. Though it's really missurable cheap PVC that was all mangled in the shipping or at the store. I would not recommend this as someone's first industrial sewing machine. I have 12 years of CNC and industrial automation maintenance. Lots of money in tools and it took me 5 hrs to get it to work. For the price I'd save and go with a Juki over this Speedway. At least Juki are in the same family as Singer sewing machines. Perhaps they are a rebadge.
