I'm really glad that I bought this one as it's not only sturdy, the perfect size, and a really great price for the quality, but also has a stainless steel handle as opposed to a wooden handle and also barbed-wire style basket, like many of the ones I come across in the region.

After learning a great way of cooking hard boiled eggs, I needed a tool that would put all the eggs “into boiling water” at the same time, start the timer, and then remove all the eggs at the same time and put into a large bowl of ice and water to stop the cooking and cool them off.
This tool was perfect! Was able to hold 10 eggs and lower into water carefully. You don’t want even one egg cracking otherwise you have a mess floating around in the pot LOL! It’s a nice looking and very sturdy tool! I’m sure it would be great for other cooking tasks too.

I really like the dual support rings on this strainer - it gives the spider bowl more support for heavier food items and feels heftier in the hand than my old bamboo and wire spider. Good stainless steel so it's easy to clean - just toss it in the dishwasher. I don't need a spider often, but when I do they're an invaluable tool.
