Investigating a mysterious, nineteenth-century secret society called the Order of Meonia, researchers Graham Phillips and Jodi Russell are drawn into a remarkable true story of the unexplained. On visiting an ancient burial site on remote moorlands in central England, an inexplicable storm rages directly around them while the surrounding countryside remains peaceful and calm. Before long, their lives are dramatically changed.
Astonishingly, they find themselves in a reality that seems impossibly transformed. Dates have moved, history has altered, and things are no longer the same. Are they in an alternate existence, a parallel world, or a fantastic patchwork universe where different worlds collide?
Hoping to understand their unbelievable dilemma, the authors search for an ancient artifact called the Heart of the Rose. Hidden for over a hundred years, it may have the power to influence fate. Led by weird visions, enigmatic guides, and a series of bizarre coincidences, they must solve the mystery of strange temples on the estate of a Victorian mansion, follow a trail of cryptic clues left in old paintings, and uncover the incredible history of the Meonia group, to find the relic before time runs out.
Although it defies belief, this extraordinary account is based entirely on actual events.

As a real life quest to understand an occult groups purpose, achievements, and wisdom Graham Phillips and Jodi Russell embark upon many adventures and have paranormal occurrences which seem to imply that reality sometimes shifts. While bulk updates to data on the internet are entirely probable, our sense of reality is determinate, unlike the quantum realm, but what they encounter in this adventure questions that notion. They also encounter human looking people who provide key information for their quest and then seem to disappear as soon as they are out of eye sight.
Well, is this all ‘real’, I don’t know, but it was a very fun book to read. It is especially enjoyable because Graham Phillips has a vast grasp on history and is continually sharing that knowledge amid the story. Being a very grounded person, it opens me up to the ‘what if’ scenarios about time and the past. It also brings up wondering about groups such as this who were seriously seeking psychic occult power (for humanity’s good) and their influences on history, as well as others who were doing similar activities for selfish reasons. I suspect these types of occult power seeking groups are prevalent today, especially among the ultra-rich. A rich book if you can think outside of the box.
I have followed Graham’s work for many years, and have no reason to doubt the authenticity of this story and the amazing events they share.
This is an important book, from many perspectives. It’s also a page turner, couldn’t put it down. Get a copy!
A great real live adventure story with much to ponder.
The book felt like THE DAVINCI CODE- but so much more credible…more believable. Well written, too.
It ‘s amazing that the authors actually lived through these events! I am fascinated by what is explored in STRANGE FATE. It’s right up my alley. I love that the door is open for more books. Definitely worth your time.

Strange Fate should probably come with a mental health warning.
Reading this book may cause dramatic synchronicities and vivid dreams. It may entice you beyond normal boundaries of perception into a more dramatic and meaning-fuelled existence; sending you tumbling into an Alice-in-Wonderland world where reality is not as you think.
It is an exciting romp through Victorian secret societies, the pre- Raphaelite movement, early feminism, country estates with mysterious gardens, ghosts, haunted mirrors, hidden clues within paintings, ancient sites, paranormal phenomena and much more.
The book recounts true events which happened to the two authors. It is written in the style of a novel, making an exciting read yet not detracting from the sense that something mysterious and very real is involved. The authors’ journey takes the form of a quest for hidden artefacts and occult knowledge across the Staffordshire countryside.
The sensitive reader, familiar with gaslighting, “false memories”, the Mandela effect and reality shifts may well find themselves having “Oh my God, that’s what happened to me!” moments when confronted by events in the book.
As it is written in the style of a novel, the book could benefit from a good fiction editor. The opening chapters are top heavy with dialogue used to transmit information and later parts have long descriptions of paintings and the suffragist movement. Editorial cut and pasting would provide a more seamless narrative. Likewise, to enable the reader to get a better sense of the personalities of the two main protagonists, it could use a few more little human touches, such as when Jody gets annoyed at Graham after leaving her soaked on the moors in a storm and his habit of withholding information until a dramatic revelation.
However, this does not detract from enjoyment of the book and the reader will sense that the gaps in the text conceal greater mysteries; what is unsaid is as important as what is said.
There is a pervading feeling that the authors are ploughing a furrow through an enormous mystery they do not understand, leaving the reader free to enter the mystery themselves. As in Roland Barthe’s ideas of “The Death of the Author”, the reader can bring their own experience and participate in the grander mysteries of Meonia. There is no sense that the quest belongs only to an elite clique of people but to anyone who wants to explore the mystical landscape.
The authors also have an engaging social media presence. As opposed to simply plugging a book online for sales, they actively engage with their readership and invite suggestions as to the nature of the strange phenomena shaping, not just the events in the book, but the increasingly fluid reality in which we find ourselves.
An essential read for anyone with a passion to understand hidden mysteries.
