Illustrated very colorful children's book about Christmas.
Starts out showing how the family is ready for the holiday and they have decorated. Then one night a stranger comes by and starts taking down the lights...
Santa almost missed their town but he did see one house with lights on-they had asked their parents to help with lanterns...
Santa has an idea to help the stranger not be so gloom... The authors other books are highlighted at the end.
Still it's a nicely illustrated book and a simple enjoyable enough read, and that's almost all you're looking for in a Christmas picture book. It is formatted properly for the Kindle reader to with text and pictures on the one page which is a nice bonus and unfortunately not the norm in picture books on Kindle. If it's still a cheap price give it a go but I wouldn't pay any more than a few dollars for it.
The story is similar to "The Grinch who Stole Christmas." And the last line of the book is, "A Merry Christmas to all, and to all a goodnight!" That sounds like the last line of "A Visit from St. Nicholas."
Setting those things aside, the illustrations were wonderful, and very colorful. A child would be entertained by the story and the pictures, but as an adult, I wanted more.
The story was part rhyme and part just story. the writing
was very inconsistant. There were gramatical errors beyond
the normal amount. The story was quite silly. The illustrations
were not great but they coud pass if the story was better written.
