Provocative character study of a man facing a personal and professional crisis. The first-person narration brings immediacy to Daniel's story and allows readers to have the same wonder and confusion Daniel experiences in his dreams. His romance with Julie adds an extra layer of emotional depth. Like his protagonist, Villalba has a vivid imagination.

I recommend the book wholeheartedly
Villalba writes with artistry and passion, and that makes this novel all the more worthwhile. I’m so happy I’ve been coming across all these really interesting and intellectual novels because I’ve been in a bit of a drought. It’ll be hard to find a book to live up to the standard set by The Stranger’s Enigma.
