So, I was looking for a good racing game to play after I beat the latest Need For Speed franchise game... I downloaded Flatout 2 first and played that for a while... The scenery was great, the racing was intense, and the last thing you want to do is hit a tree and get ejected out of your vehicle (which happens a lot in these games, cause I drive like a maniac!) Now, for Flatout 2, you have the 3 race divisions: Derby (a little fast driving, cheap cars), Street (a bit faster driving, mid-level cars) and Racing (fastest/best cars)... All 3 have a number of tournaments and extra events to unlock, with a final group of tournaments that appear once you get a good way into the game....
Now... For FLATOUT: Ultimate Carnage: This game has the obligatory jump in graphics that every successive game in a franchise inherits, it also has most of the same cars and tracks, but that's where the similarities end... This game has a Racing mode and a Carnage mode. The Carnage mode has challenges upon challenges to complete... The catch is that you have to do well on these challenges to unlock more... You could start by just running through all of them, but eventually the points you need catch up and you have to improve your score on some to unlock another event or two... So it's best to try and do the best you can on every challenge... There is also a Party mode that lets you set up custom races for multiple players...
I really enjoyed this game very much, (I'm currently re-downloading because my computer crashed last week) So, if you're a fan of racing games like the Need For Speed franchise then you'll enjoy this game... just remember to grab a few Monster drinks so you can concentrate!

this game has to be the buggiest game i have ever played. small compact cars can push a large heavy truck wherever it wants? if you t-bone a car, you have to stop and back up? car will flip backward for absolutely no reason or if it hits a traffic cone? spin a car around, and it will pass you within 5 seconds? a car that is many times slower than your car can and will pass you at top speed? a car on fire can and will pass you? MANY, MANY bugs. that being said, it is one of the funnest and funniest games ever. something quite cool about hitting a car and seeing the driver go flying. all in all, it is a great game, replay value is good if you can overlook the many bugs.

Pretty stupid game. The Flatout 2 game is way better than this release.

.....there are a few things to consider. First, you really need to make sure your system has a graphics card that can run it.Read more
