Booked a vacation to Mexico. The hotel we stayed at said we had to have specific ingredients for sunscreen, since we wanted to take a dip in their cenotes. This sunscreen was amazing! Yes it was on the thicker side. So a little went a LONG way. I had bought some aloe to soothe our skin at the end of the day in case of a sunburn, but we did not get burnt. I felt comfortable wearing it. Though it does leave a white coverage, if not blended in properly.

The product tube looks small, and it can be hard to rub the product in without leaving a white cast. I hated it at first, but after seven days in Mexico my fair skin family is sunburn free. This stuff works! We are pale bordering glow in the dark white, and this protected us completely. We were outside about 9-11 hours a day without a burn in site. The crazy part is we still have sunblock left in the tube. A little goes a long way. I did notice though if you get it on clothing it leaves a white mark till laundered. Stuff is amazing.

I wish I had pictures from when I used this sunscreen. I had deleted them from my phone by mistake.
This sunscreen is great for protecting the environment, especially for our water creatures and the ocean water itself.
I used this sunscreen for my trip to Puerto Rico for a week. Luckily it was cloudy there for the first few days, so it did it’s job. On sunny days, I felt like it wasn’t giving enough protection, so I switched to regular sunscreen, but made sure I didn’t go into the ocean water with it.
It’s non-greasy and leaves a slight white sheer when applying. But it lightens when you rub on to your skin a little longer. But didn’t disappear, so you’ll notice a difference in sheer. And it’s water proof, so that was nice when I went swimming with some fishes, knowing I wasn’t harming their health and environment. Oh! One more, it didn’t feel sticky in the humidity of PR. That’s a plus !
It’s a good sunscreen and pack a different, stronger sunscreen for protection the sunnier days.

I bought this sunscreen because it is reef safe, I tried it on my arms and it feels like a heavy ointment; I feel it works for high sun exposure, although it's hard to spread on the body, and it leaves a white cast on your skin.
I'm not sure if somebody with acne prone skin can use it for their face because its ingredients, but at least on the body works if you don't mind to wear that white cast.
I'll keep using it on my body, but not my face.

UPDATE 2022/10/20:
We tried this sunscreen on a beach trip and it was a terrible experience. It's too hard to spread on your body and you can't touch anything because the product transfers all over the surface, even if you barely touched it, so you have to re-apply every single time, and also it's complicated to remove this sunscreen.

A biologist actually recommended this sunscreen and I'm glad I came across him and found out about it! Most conventional sunscreens contain an absurd amount of chemicals and harmful additives that harm not only you, but the environment and wildlife as well. These conventional sunscreens may protect you from the sun, but in the process still harm you.

With this sunscreen, however, not only am I happy that I could spend a little extra and help the planet, I'm also pleased to say this stuff works! I'm very pale with freckles so I'm always lathering up with sunscreen. Knowing that this one isn't harmful and can still protect me is fantastic. I wore it every day for a week-long trip to the Jersey shore and I didn't burn at all. One thing I will note is that a little goes a long way, if you use too much you'll look much paler than you did before you started applying the sunscreen. But this is true for any mineral sunscreen.

All in all, do yourself and the planet a favor and buy some!

I bought this product based on all the positive reviews but was disappointed. Firstly, it arrived on time and there were no condition issues so that was good. However, the product itself I found to be very gritty and abrasive. I applied it to my face and it was so gritty that my skin started to turn red. It leaves a very white cast that as it starts to dry turns a shade of light blue then gray. I ended up removing it all and had to wait for a few minutes before my skin calmed down enough to moisturize. I have sensitive skin and this product did not work for me. I cannot recommend this product based on my experience with it.

I love this sunscreen for many reasons - the first being that I don't have to worry about what I'm putting on my skin getting into my body and causing harm, but also that this sunscreen is safe for aquatic organisms in both fresh and marine systems. The consistency of the sunscreen is thicker than most sunscreens, so you have to apply it in small sections. I don't get the feeling of oiliness from this sunscreen like other brands either. I love that I can apply this to my face and it doesn't make my mask slide around, and when I sweat the sunscreen doesn't burn my eyes. The titanium dioxide does cause there to be a shiny/metallic appearance to your skin, but once rubbed in all the way, you can barely tell. I love the mission this company is pursuing and I am a life-time buyer!

Though a hefty price tag- with as little as you have to use, it’s well worth it. It’s great once you learn how to apply it. It’s very thick, but I would suggest only squeezing out a tiny amount and then work it all over a larger surface. This sunscreen outdid all of our other sunscreens. The family went through a couple of bottles of their sunscreen in a week while I only went through a half bottle of this. Once you learn a little goes a long way- this sunscreen is great. Our family is very pale and as long as you apply every hour or couple of hours, this sunscreen will keep you from burning under the beautiful, hot sun in Hawai’i.
