I’m assuming the storyline is taking place at the same time as the SF Unlimited series. Despite the obvious focus on Cammy this story features a lot of Street Fighters including the Killer Bee’s Juli and Juni. As well as appearances by Juri, Crimson Viper and Decapre. This is a very female focused story. F.A.N.G. also plays a major roll and seems to be getting a lot of attention from Udon lately. As far as I can recall he is one of only two Street Fighters to appear in both this book and the Unlimited series. I won’t reveal who the other character is. F.A.N.G. is sort of the link between Legends: Cammy and Unlimited and I was glad to see some cohesion between the two series.
Besides the art, what I love about Udon’s Street Fighter comics is how seamless they all are. Not only do they fit in neatly with the video games but they fit in with each other. Cammy Legends is a self-contained story but it also answers some questions from Unlimited and the continuity all works together. Any complaints I might have would just be nitpicking because these Udon comics are so much better than one should ever expect from a video game license. It’s clear that Udon cares deeply about the product they’re putting out rather than just cashing in on fan support. It’s a very nice hardcover book with large, high quality pages. The stories are never award winning but I have no doubt that Udon is severely constrained trying to stay in continuity with the games. This is an absolute must for Street Fighter fans.
Through Omar Dogan's incredibly beautiful art and Jim Zub's storytelling, this novel does Street Fighter's second leading lady justice! Included within the hardcover novel are some of the alternative covers from the individual comic releases from the Cammy anthology of the Street Fighter Legends series. If you are a Cammy fan, pick this up and add it to your library!
