Un livre bon de l'argot!

I am thoroughly enjoying this book. The layout is simple, well structured and the logical groupings of categories makes it easy for me (or anyone for that matter) to focus one what is most important to them. You may want to get other books if you want to go more in depth in a specific area innuendo sexual or otherwise for that matter, for example, but as a whole general review, Ce livre est tres bon!

Didn't meet my needs

I wasn't really satisfied with this book, but that is due to its organization, which might be fine for others. I really wanted a book in which I could look up an American expression and find the corresponding French expression. The French expressions are organized alphabetically in the back, so if you're translating a French slang expression, no problem. The problem starts when you want to know what an English expression is in French. Then English section is organized by several themes, so, say for example, you wanted to know how to say a sexual expression in French. You could go to the English section on sex and perhaps find it after some searching. I found "Harrap's Slang French: English-French, French-English" 1993 (ISBN 0671883461) more helpful. I can look up an English expression in the English section and find the corresponding French expression. I suspect that "Streetwise French Dictionary/Thesaurus" would be more suitable for browsing.

Good book for practicing spoken French.

It seems like a good to tool to better understand not only slang, but spoken French. A lot of the French that I was taught is very formal, so this "de-formalizes" it a bit. It's a good tool.
