Not what I was expecting... IT WAS SO MUCH MORE!
on July 11, 2013
First let me start by saying that this is literally the VERY first review I have ever written in my life.
Now, that being said... I have severe neck, shoulder, upper and lower back problems. This causes me to be in excruciating pain every single day! I own a cleaning business which requires a lot of bending over for long periods of time, lifting and moving heavy things to clean behind them, etc. Yes, I know with these problems, owning a cleaning business isn't ideal, but I refuse to let the pain win!
I came across the back stretcher while searching for other items that may help with some/any type of relief and were portable enough to take with me if the pain would get too bad. I ordered a few different devices, but the back stretcher was/is by far the best so far. I see some people posted that it is too painful and had to put some cushion over it, but that has never been an issue for me. The only time I find discomfort while laying on it, is when my back is really tight and to me that's when I need it the most. However, after only a minute or so, I feel the discomfort just melt away as it loosens those tight muscles.
Everyone is different and it make take some time to find the right positions that work for you, so don't give up...
one thing is that you need to make sure your spine in aligned correctly in the middle of the stretcher, then place the highest part of the arch where you are in pain and stretched. I start at the top and go all the way down my back, doing a few minutes on each part. How you bend your knees or straighten your legs is also key - so that you are relaxed and your back and tailbone are flat on the board and not raised, depending how you are positioned on the stretcher. When you move the stretcher to a different area of your back, you will most likely need to reposition your legs again.
I find that when my shoulders and upper back start to get tight and hurt, I put the arch at the top where it hurts, adjust my legs, then stretch my arms straight over my head or straight out to the side and it works wonders. Another plus is that anyone with neck and back problems knows it can be extremely draning... I have found that after using the stretcher a few minutes on each part of back, I get up and feel energized.
At first my friends thought I was crazy when I talked about the stretcher, but after helping them find the right positioning, they always ask me to use it now. Five of them even bought their own.
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this product!!! Before giving up, try different ways that might work for you , then hopefully you will be as impressed with this magical device and enjoy it as much as I do.
I hope this helps! Good luck!
