After 20 plus years as a core guitar accessory, String Swing's model CC01 is getting a makeover. The renewed Home and Studio Guitar Keeper has a deep cradle design that prevents the guitar from being improperly placed in its hanger, which promotes safer handling of your instrument. This guitar wall hanger design is also great for guitars that have a headstock with single or uneven heels. The yoke pivots to cradle the headstock, but is free of mechanical, moving parts that would wear over time so this product is manufacturer-guaranteed for life. Wood block is made of real hardwood. Natural wood color may vary.

I don't like the yoke on these personally because of the deep curve. It causes the screw-mechanisms on the back of my locking tuners to get caught on the back curve of the yoke. The results are either losing tune because it unscrews your tuner lock, or the weight of the guitar is resting on the tuner instead of the neck.
If you do not have the deep locking tuners like I have, 100% on these. They are great. I have contacted String Swing about a possibly getting different yokes for mine. String Swing is great about communication as I have contacted them in the past about mounting.
Advice: MOUNT IN STUDS!!!!! The people that say it doesn't matter DO NOT love their guitar like you and I do!!!!
If you absolutely can't mount in studs, use the biggest and baddest toggle bolts you can find. I still don't recommend it. I tried it with my first one I mounted (1/8" toggle) and it indeed popped right out of the wall ripping through the drywall when I gave it a bit of a pull to test it. Left me with a pretty large drywall hole to patch as well. Use studs if you can. Your guitar deserves it.
Once they are up, they look very nice. I especially like that the manufacturer will sell just a yoke for around $5, so if we ever need to change our display we can, without having to unscrew the hanger from the wall.
I am not particularly strong, but was able to pull the yoke apart enough to accommodate our 12 string, and also squeeze the yoke together to fit our Guitar Hero Guitars.
I would have liked Amazon to let me choose the finish, so that all the hangers would have matched perfectly, but we arranged them so they are "close enough" and from a distance you can't really tell.
So, this product gets 3 stars from me. Once it's in the wall it looks good and works well, but be warned, getting it there might be a problem.
If you are hanging a lot of guitars, making two rows (one high and one low) seems to be the best option. I spaced the hangers eighteen inches apart and the guitars I put up look nice and have a good, tight spacing. I uploaded two pictures of my wall after I had installed nine of the hangers and I couldn't be more pleased with the look... the pictures are uploaded on this product page. I have put up the other two hangers since I uploaded the pictures, so I will have to do new pictures, but the ones that I put up will give you a good representation of the look you will get with these.
The easiest way to hang a lot of these is to use a laser level such as the Black & Decker BDL100AV All-In-One SureGrip Laser Level and a long cloth tape measure that you can tack to the wall. I just went down the wall making dots directly on the line, drilled quick pilot holes and nine of the string swings were installed in about 20 - 30 minutes. I think that this is the quickest and easiest way to get a professional-looking installation.
As far as the performance of the hangers goes, what is there to say? The included anchors are big enough to keep the wooden backplate securely fastened to the wall and the hanger screws into a metal receptacle in the middle of it. As long as you make sure that you tighten the hanger properly, you will be in good shape.
I DO NOT, however, recommend buying the String Swing Home and Studio Wall Bumper Brown, as they are complete garbage and fall off the wall almost immediately.
EDIT: I put the other hangers up now and did NOT drill pilot holes. The anchors are made in such a way as to be nailed into the wall without using a pilot hole. Just mark the positions, use a hammer to nail the anchors up to the screw portion, then screw them in. It took about 1 minute to put a new hanger up, but this was partially due to the fact that I was able to use a level and put it against the bottom of the other hangers to get the line. At any rate, you do not need to drill pilot holes; just nail and go!
