Product Description

Width (in) 1/4" Length (in) 14" Material Stainless steel Color Silver/Natural Temperature Rating (degrees F) well above 2000 degrees Quantity 10 The Thermal Zero Zip Strip locking ties are different than our locking ball ties. The Zip Strip ties act as an actual zip tie locking in place once you get them tight and will not come loose. They are just as versatile and strong as the stainless ball ties but hold with a tighter grip. Use thes ties on heat wrap, blanketing, or any other automotive application where a plastic tie will not work because of a heat issue. Our stainless ties come in multiple different lengths and can be cut to exact length you need. Also the stainless ties don't necessarily have to be used on just automotive purposes, you can use them just about anywhere else.

These are the ONLY stainless zip ties that don't slip and get loose. Once the lock falls into the detent they stay put and are the only ties that do so. I wrapped an entire exhaust system from the header to the tail pipe with other wraps and ended up replacing all of them with these. Done deal.

The only reason I gave these four stars, instead of five, is because they were rather difficult to pull through the locking mechanism. Maybe there is some subtle trick I never figured out, but I struggled a decent amount.

They are easy to use and work for what they are intended for. I used them to keep the wrap I installed on my V-Star's exhaust so my wife's right foot wouldn't get hot. They were recommended by Amazon on the scroll bar. I was going to use some wire. Amazon had a solution there for me, and I appreciate that.

I used this in a way different than expected. The charcoal box in the back of the car was leaning a little bit because a screw was rusted and snapped. Worked well to hold it still. They are strong and very long.

These work great. Frankly, I don't understand the reviews that claim that it was hard to apply or use these ties. I suspect those must be from people trying to use it to enclose something with circumference of nearly equivalent length to the usable length of the tie. They're probably used to plastic ties which you can grab and pull (and deform slightly in the process). Of course, the solution here is to either buy ties of appropriate length or use two. You're not going to "stretch" these ties.

I had my concerns and after having used them, I'm pretty blown away. They accomplish exactly the job I want and behave just the way one would expect. I feel working with them in a tight space is just as easy/difficult as with nylon or plastic zip ties. They feel just as secure as the screw-type clamps with the flexibility of ties that you pull.

The only thing to keep in mind - unlike some plastic ties, these are not designed for reuse. While it is possible to back one out, you're better off just cutting it off and learning from your mistake.

I tried several different methods to get these to really snug up the Exhaust wrap I was installing and found using a pliers and rolling the pull end near the keeper worked best. IF you over tighten they bend apart.

These worked well to replace the old plastic zip ties I had on my off-road lights on my truck. The cover kept popping off so I had to put zip ties on them. Now the zip ties match the chrome outside cap on the lights!

Reason for three starts is not quality of product but the ease of use. If you're using in tight space, forget it, nearly impossible to tighten correctly. Not even holding the clip with one hand and sliding the opposite side with another allow of easy closing.
