Kate Shipp is a Christ-Centered yoga therapist, certified with the International Association of Yoga Therapy, and a 500ERYT and YACEP with Yoga Alliance. She holds a B.S. in Marketing from Arizona State University, and has thousands of hours in training and personal experience in various holistic therapies.

For the past decade, Kate has specialized in seeing clients for mental health and trauma recovery. She uses the teachings of Jesus and the philosophy and practices of yoga, combined with the neuroscience of trauma, to help clients overcome painful pasts, remember their wholeness, and live lives of peace and joy.

Kate’s personal recovery from Complex PTSD, and her connection to Spirit, motivate her to serve others in this way, and she believes that through hope, faith, and love even the most painful sufferings can be overcome.

Kate works with clients privately, online and in-person, as well as through group mentoring and various training programs. She is the creator of The Shipp MethodTM of Christ-Centered Trauma Recovery, a training program to teach other therapeutic practitioners a seven-step process for Remembered Wholeness. Kate also offers various events, workshops, retreats, and presentations to educate, embody, and empower radiant living.

Kate is a bestselling author of two compilation books and a motivational speaker. Her work as a yoga therapist was featured in a documentary called, The Box: Out of the Impossible, about a woman’s recovery from horrific trauma and abuse. She is a contributing author for Christian Yoga Magazine.

She resides in Phoenix, Arizona with her husband and two children. Two dogs and two cats complete her family. Kate loves being out in nature, and you will often find her with a cup of hot coffee in her hands.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Heartfelt Look into Trauma and a Gift of Tools to Help Others
By Kelly R Vizzini on November 7, 2022
In reading Kate Shipp’s book, I recognize that it is important to read it multiple times: once to be a witness to the author’s journey of healing to wholeness, second to connect with the tools and practices that we can integrate into our own toolbox employing the breathe and understanding ourselves in new ways, and again in our own steps of struggle to remind ourselves we are not alone and that healing is on the other side through the pain, the response, and the uncomfortable.

Kate’s journey in I Am Strong Enough Now God Thanks is a Blessing for all that question their body’s own healing abilities and also an opportunity to become Aware that healing is about reprogramming our thoughts, and body to become consciously aware of where we are in the moments through consistent personal homework, love and compassion for ourselves.

Kate’s book is a wonderful reminder that healing is an Inside Job. Thanks Kate for your vulnerability and passion to heal yourself - and to opening the door to guide others through their own.
