I am so thoroughly amazed and Suzanne’s ability to write about so many different scenarios in this life. I am blown away by the breadth of knowledge and writer’s imagination she has for every single book she writes. She is one fantastic writer and if you have ever missed reading one of her books, I feel bad for you.
Suzanne’s characters are all so well rounded out. You love the lovable ones and hate the wicked ones. You feel the emotions of every one of her storylines as if you’re there in the moment with them.
This book made me want to be in England so bad. And the way the story ended leaves me hoping for a follow-up. I can’t imagine never reading about these people again.
Can you tell I’m in love with Suzanne’s writing?!
When Karen was kidnapped, Michael departs for jolly old England...to try and locate her. And, yes, strong women keep on going...
I am thinking there may be another part to this one to justify the ending on this one...??
All in all, an outstanding read on a day of wintry mix in Vermont.
Will read more that this author has written as I did think the novel was outstanding.
Most highly recommended.
Karen, ex wife to Michael, was a bit squirrelly and left him many years ago. Fortunately. their kids called him in NYC to beg him to come to London when she went missing.
In the end, Michael stupidly thinks he and his wife are safe from the mob because so many of the mob are in jail. That's not going to protect anyone...as the book so readily pointed out when karen and Gina were abducted and Gina was shot on two separate occasions.
