About the Author
Selena Kitt is a bestselling and award-winning author of erotic romance fiction and erotica. OVER A MILLION BOOKS SOLD! Her writing embodies everything from the spicy to the scandalous.
When she's not pawing away at her keyboard, Selena runs an innovative publishing company (excessica.com). She does bellydancing and photography, and she loves four poster beds, tattoos, voyeurism, blindfolds, velvet, baby oil, the smell of leather, and playing kitty cat.
Her books EcoErotica (2009), The Real Mother Goose (2010) and Heidi and the Kaiser (2011) were all Epic Award Finalists. Her gay male romance, Second Chance, won the Epic Award in Erotica in 2011. Her FREE story, Connections, was one of the runners-up for the 2006 Rauxa Prize, given annually to an erotic short story of "exceptional literary quality," out of over 1,000 nominees, where awards are judged by a select jury and all entries are read "blind" (without author's name available.)

On another plane, this collection was clearly meant as erotica more than outright porn. This statement does not imply any judgement of value whatsoever (I like M/M romances with little or no sex, erotica and outright porn indiscriminately) but may be of interest to those readers who are looking for stories with sex in it and not sex scenes with some sort of setting around them.
As a general criticism I am afraid that several things have escaped the editor's attention: there were several typos thoroughout and in "Conditioning" I got the distinct impression that the name of the two characters were switched in several sentences.
As far as the actual collection is concerned, it is very varied. SF meshes with historical (just one) and contemporary with characters from every walk of life but a predilection for underdogs and losers, a thing I tend to find unappealing if it is not dealt with extreme skill, which does not always happen.
Quality is also uneven.
The short by the editor, Ms Kitt, is possibly the best but would have been much better developped with far more pages.
My personal favourite is the raunchy science fiction by Mr Dahll which is light hearted, sexy and interesting at the same time.
Mr Atlas' is possibly just as good but I had to fight my irritation at a character who seems unable to contain his submissiveness in his own bedroom and therefore is amply responsible for all the accidents that happen to him: a personal problem of mine that could leave other readers unfazed or even intrigued.
Mr Magnus' short did not really belong to a "gay" short story collection (and I saw what was coming from page one).
I downloaded this for free, I am not sure I should be ready to pay its full price.
A.P. Miller's "Conditioning" has Taekwondo instructor Anthony developing a crush on his 20-year-old student, Seth. This one is sexy, but sweet. "Love and Rockets" by Gavin Atlas is more raw. New college counselor Toby is attracted to tall, gorgeous Leo, the uncle of one of Toby's college-bound students. The feeling seems to be mutual, but is Leo using Toby to get information about his nephew? Sensitive readers should be advised this story contains a sexual assault scene.
In "Stuart's Not Little" by Kris Klein, grocery bagger Jeremy develops a crush on a coworker, leading to an insanely hot men's room encounter. "Universal Relations" by Ken Dahll is another space opera, this time involving cadet Dan, his green-skinned humanoid paramour Hector, and a universe of sexual exploration. Extremely sexy! Sabb's "View From the Barn" is set in 1938 rural Australia. It's the anthology's only historical tale. Richard and Clancy explore their sexuality, but Clancy has a secret.
"Tanning" by Phineas Magnus, at first, seems slightly misplaced in this anthology, but turns out to be a well-crafted story of a straight guy's love for a beautiful male-to-female transsexual. Finally, editor Selena Kitt's "Second Chance" is the sweet and steamy love story of Wal-Mart worker Ty and tenderhearted biker-dude Jonah.
