Although technology has advanced, acoustics has largely stayed the same so this timeless advice is useful for years to come. I am currently in the midst of building a personal home studio and this book has saved me a ton of money (by not just purchasing panels all willy nilly and giving me DIY options on construction techniques) and served as a guide giving clear direction on what to do next.
I'm not building a commercial studio however, so I cannot comment on this part but it does look to be pretty thorough in that regard as well. Enjoy!
