I found this book a few years ago but didn't actually open it for about a year. Now i wish i would have read it sooner. This book has really helped me to put some simple techniques into practice. It's been over two years now, and I can now say with confidence, I can't get enough of the word of God. Now that i know HOW to navigate thru God's word, my bible study time has truly been enjoyable.
One problem I have is, I can't get enough of the bible. I principally schedule my devotion time in the morning, studying between 30 to 90 minutes daily, but the time just goes so quickly. I often have to use my lunch hour to tie up some loose ends just to make it to the next morning. I know, I might sound like a fiend, but if I'm going to fiend for anything, I would rather fiend for God's word over anything in this world.
Not only has reading the bible helped my life, but i've had the privilege to give others direction in their lives, of course pointing my hope in the inspired word if God, the bible. Definitely, a treasured tool for any student wanting to get into the bible. Well worth your 10 bucks - no doubt.
This book breaks down the studying process into clear steps. Which makes it easy to follow. As usual, Skip uses alot of cool quotes to express his ideas. I personally like these quotes very much. I also like the illustrations used in this book to explain their intents. They help me understand the ideas better.
I am currently planning a new Sunday school class on Bible study techniques, I am using this book extensively in my lesson planning.
