The foreword by Jason Kirk and Spencer Hall (of SBNation.com and everydayshouldbesaturday.com) sets the tone for the personal nature of much of the book, where the many people interviewed help explain their own connection to college football, and why it matters so much to themselves and generally in this country. Definitely a must-read for lovers of college football, its stats, and its stories.
But, above all, this book is a great celebration of College Football and not just stats. The book has great context built in to it where the stats are really just used to expose how great college football is - which, is the brilliance of Connelly and his overall point.
Worth noting is that this is for the hardcore college football fans. Not that casual fans can't read it! But I feel, as a hardcore fan, there were times more casual fans would have issues understanding and really appriciate certain aspects of the book.
A must-read for college football fans!
Money well spent!
