IT IS THE HOLY GRAIL OF TOYS FOR SUPER DESTRUCTIVE BEASTS!
Yes he did destroy the fabric in a matter of seconds but the squeakers are puncture proof, as long as its a small one, other wise its just a piece of plastic with no hope. I really like it because I don't have stuffing entrails all over the place anymore and well, they're quite affordable. If you buy this with duck tape, a cheap bag of socks, you can keep this toy going for awhile (let's not kid ourselves, probably an extra week or two.) Once the fabric is destroyed pop the squeakers in one sock or for extra fun, keep them separate. Then Duck tape the hell of it and put another sock on it. Best of luck!
A forewarning to any new to this particular Petstages toy: the squeakers are pretty loud. Louder than the average squeaky dog toy. Not ear-splitting, but if you don't like noisy toys, this probably isn't the toy for you or your dog. We don't mind loud toys, and our boxer loves playing with this toy so much that we are fine with the loudness.
I was impressed with the Jellyfish. He finally tore it in half yesterday (November 1). Since he got the thing 2/3 through April and plays with it constantly, this was a great thing for us. We gave him the Gator, thinking it would last. Half an hour later, he had torn through the covering on the Gator, because he was able to tear through the eyes. The jellyfish didn't have anywhere for him to gain purchase and destroy the whole thing; the worst he could do was remove a tentacle. (The gator was torn in half by this evening; it survived about 24 hours.)
Sadly almost from the moment I took it out of the amazon box I knew it was going to have a problem. The stitching on the feet were so poorly done that one of the feet tore off as I was taking the toy off the twist ties that attached the product to the cardboard. I decided in the long run, that shouldn't be an issue as it was just a small piece of fabric.
Gave the toy a squeek and immediatly had my little guy come running. I handed him the toy at 1:15pm. He grabbed it and started going to town on squeeking and honking the toy. Chewing started shortly after. The packaging claims that even if the chamber is punctured that it will continue to squeek. While this may be true, I couldn't attest to that as my corgi went right for the area that contains the squeek hard plastic and ripped it out. He then ripped the entire plastic section away from the rest.
The other section/plastic didn't fair much better. All in all, I handed him the toy at 1:15pm and by 1:30pm the toy was completely destroyed and in the trash.
For me, the money I paid for the toy was a complete waste as it didn't last 20mins. Great it didn't have stuffing so at least cleanup was easier.
For us, we will be sticking to the solid rubber type toys from here on out.
