STUNT JUNKIES is a fresh, immersive, weekly, half hour series in which the world's best extreme sports athletes, designers, and stunt fabricators execute one unbelievable stunt. It's a show about imagination, daring, intellect and science. STUNT JUNKIES is a backstage pass to the world of the extreme athlete and explains what it takes to pull off a an eye-popping, hair-raising stunt. Jason Slezak would like to execute the largest land gap ever attempted, ramp to ramp, on a kiteboard. He will approach the take off ramp at a high rate of speed in order to achieve the required height (approx. 30-40 feet) and distance necessary to clear an entire island (150-200 feet across, see map), complete with trees and animals, all while flying over a camera to document this incredible feat. Jason will then have to precisely land on a down ramp on the opposite side. Adding to the difficulty of this stunt, Jason will have to estimate his landing as he will not be able to view the other side of the island from the take off ramp. While Jason is flying over the middle of the island his landing is still unknown; at any moment he could drift off course resulting in a terrible disaster. Many factors such as wind speed and direction, wave size, his speed and position must work in unison for this stunt to be a success. This stunt requires the extraordinary ability to combine skills from a variety of disciplines, such as wakeboarding, surfing, sailing and flying into one spectacular unique act.
